June Style Challenge - Horizontal Line Composition Welcome to June!!! Wow, how did that happen? With a new month beginning, it also welcomes a new month of challenges here at the Lilypad!!! We want to thank you for bearing with us in regards to the May challenges, but we are back and raring to go with some fun new challenges for June! I am so excited to be hosting the June Style Challenge! This month, we are going horizontal with everything on your page on that same horizontal line. With my page, I am using a collage background paper which is fine, but everything I am adding over the background is on that one horizontal plane/area. (Credits: PGD Gokotta background paper, and elements, Rachel Jefferies Messy Threads No.9 & This is Everything elements for flower and foliage, Mommyish - Vintage Kids for Doilie, and May 25 calendar created from Canva. Heather Joyce font The Dry Ribbon) Instructions are simple: Your page must be using a horizontal composition. Everything must be on that same horizontal line. (So, if you want your horizontal at the top then that is the only place your elements etc. can be. Same if you choose to place your horizonal towards the middle or the bottom, then everything should be within that line. ) Your page can be with 1 or a few photos or photo-less. You may use a template if you wish, but it CAN NOT be the June Challenge template. Now it is your turn! Remember our monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the June Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. (Please use the share BB IMG code found on the right side of the gallery). The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I can't wait to see your page with this fun horizontal style!
I went all in on the horizontal orientation! I loved how this background reflected the stained popsicle stick look of the bench in the photo. A Bug's Land was so cute with all the human objects scaled to look like they were left for tiny bugs to use, making you feel like you were bug-sized!
