    Happy Towel Day!
    towel.jpg

When I saw that it reminded me that I am in search of a new set of bath towels. Mine are getting so old and ratty. Last time I bought a cheaper set and they just didn't hold up.

    I could use some suggestions...
Do you have a favorite bath towel?

I need suggestions too because my current ones keep tearing. I bought huge Costco ones for DH but they’re too huge and too thick for my liking.

I prefer bath sheets they are bigger than towels and tend to wrap around your body better. I got like 6 off temu awhile back and they are soooo soft and absorb so.much and quick dry. I need to find more because I love them and hide them from rest of family

I like the bath sheets too. In the past my favorite was the Better Homes & Gardens brand, but I just bought regular towels at Walmart for my half bath and they seem really nice. They are the Mainstay Brand and fairly in expensive. They wash well too.

I bought bath sheets on Amazon (Lane Linen https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=L&ai...GNAxUREVkFHTlNHIAQwg8oAHoECAQQEQ&nis=8&adurl= ) 3 months ago and I am ehhh with them. They are ok, but were not like my BH&G towels. These Mainstay ones are pretty good though.

I like the members mark hotel luxury towels from Sam’s Club. They are big enough to cover but not too big. They are soft and absorbent and priced well too.

I just went to check the tag and then Googled them so I hope this is the same as the ones I have: https://www.amazon.com/Kaufman-Velour-Sheets-Cotton-Absorbent/dp/B09ZH36TCW?th=1

I got two of them when I went to college in 2006, one turquoise which is pretty faded and a hot pink that got used less but also is no longer obnoxiously pink, and I've been using them ever since. My aunt bought them for me at Bed, Bath & Beyond, along with a lime green hand towel which is probably still in my "ugly but useful" towels pile. (Everything was picked to match the $20 tie-dye bed-in-a-bag set I found at a different Bed, Bath & Beyond.)

I cut all the tags off my towels so I can’t help too specifically, but I’d guess mine are probably from Walmart. They have held up really well over the years, like so many years that I couldn’t even guess, but we are only on our second set in the 30 years we’ve been in this house. I bought some microfiber ones from Target and I HATE the way they feel on my skin so they have been relegated to using to dry/wrap my hair after a shower, which they work fine for.

I usually get new towels at TJ Maxx or Homegoods. You can almost always get a couple that match and are so much cheaper. I tend to buy a couple new towels for our hockey billets that stay for most of the year each season. Now if I can get some tips/tricks to get them to HANG UP and reuse their towels, that'd be great. We end up having NO hot tub towels (usually the old towels get downgraded to the hot tub bin) when I want to use the hot tub. My own kids know to leave those down stairs by the hot tub, but for whatever reason, we end up finding damp towels on the bottom of the boys' closets when they are at out of town games. So frustrating!

We finally put up hooks in my son's room for him to hang his towel on. He generally hangs it instead of leaving it on the floor and then just wraps himself in it when he heads to the bathroom for his next shower.

Most of our towels are from Kohls since that's the only local store other than Walmart or Meijer where we can get towels and I need to touch and feel them before I buy. Also I like to see the colors in person too.

My towels are ancient ... at least 20 years old. They came from Bed Bath and Beyond. They are really ratty ... the edges are fraying, but I just keep cutting the loose threads off as the main part of the towels are fine.

I like bath sheets. And the Costco ones are huge, thick, and absorb well. They do have towel size that doesn't wrap around your body, that I have for my kids and for extras to use, I like them too.

I'm not a fan of microfiber either. I also don't like th eway it feels on my skin.

Thanks so much for the link! I will definitely check them out!

I haven't checked TJ Maxx or Homegoods, but I will! It took me years of nagging to get my youngest to hang and reuse lol. He drove me crazy!!!

I never thought of hanging the hooks in my son's room! Great idea!!

The last ones I bought were from Kohl's. They've been ok, but I also didn't get great ones. I went for super cheap last time, too lol

I so wish we had a Costco even remotely near by lol. I've never had bath sheets, but I think I should try them.
