Our summers are generally not too hot so I like short sleeved tees and loose flowing tops. I don't wear sleeveless much. This year I got a few white tees which is so versatile. I don't know why I didn't get them sooner. I wear jeans all year round but also like cotton/polyester capris, jean shorts and wide leg pants. I've got a few styles of jean jackets and short sweaters for cooler days. I have summer dresses but don't generally wear them around the house, I save those for traveling or going out for dinner.
Nothing too exciting here. I go from jeans to Bermuda-length jean shorts. I wear mostly short sleeved tops all year long; I just layer a hoodie or cardigan over them in the cooler months or if I'm in a highly air-conditioned environment. I wore full length jeans to work this morning since it was in the 60's when I headed out, but it turned out shorts would have been better as the humidity made it plenty warm enough.
I'm still working during the summer, so mainly I just ditch the long sleeves. It's nice to sport shorts on the weekends too
Like KimJ I go from long T shirts and jeans to t shirts and Bermuda length shorts. I have some capris and summer dresses but rarely choose them.
It's a mix of tops, shirts, blouses, jeans, capris, and shorts. I would love to find the perfect summer dress (and actually wear it), but I haven't found it yet. I'll admit I'm not much of a skirt/dress person. I complete my outfits with sweaters or a hooded vest/hoody for when it gets chilly in the evening.
Pretty much this, although I wear denim capris vs. shorts. I generally only wear shorts at the lake/beach or if it's super hot.
I don't wear many shorts I find them too short now days. I'm kinda a hippy at heart and wear lots of flowers skirts and dresses normally
not a lot of difference here in England, maybe just not wearing the jumper/hoodie anymore. If we have a particularly hot day or two I have a pair of shorts instead of the jeans.
I have a pair of too big denim shorts that I like for around the house, for when those won't work for errands, I switch to flowy linen blend pants, and a flowy top - sleeveless or short sleeves, maybe flutter. I don't like sleeveless on me, but our summers are beastly hot so I have to ditch the lounge leggings. I'm pretty much "loungewear" in my retired days. Must be comfortable, loose, and preference for natural fabrics when I can find them.
It's basically summer year-round here but when it gets into the "feels like 113", I will only wear leggings and not real pants. I own a pair of jean shorts but always feel uncomfortable in them these days.
Nothing really special here. I used to not do shorts as I HATE my legs, but since becoming a mom I really really don't care any more & would rather just not die from the heat. So shorts. HA!
In terms of fabrics, I have a love/hate relationship with linen in summer, it really needs ironing to me but is so much lighter & the ironing is the part I hate lol. I found some blended fabrics last summer & other kinda flowy cheesecloth fabric shirts & skirts so I could still wear longish clothes & sleeves without constant suncream or getting literally roasted.
I bring out my light-weight dresses, but it can still be chilly in the morning here and in the office, so I still wear sweaters.
What changes do you make to your wardrobe for summer? I wear flip flops every day again! Fave outfits? Basketball shorts and a t shirt Anything you don't like to wear? I refuse to wear jeans, especially when it’s hot
I bust out the capris for my work wear (which my hubby, who I also work with, complains that it's not fair that men can't wear capris. I remind him that nobody said he couldn't... ) and then shorts and t-shirts, plus sandals! Which reminds me, I need to paint my toenails this weekend! That's always a sure sign of summer arriving!
