Yes I would say semi-sweet are most commonly used in cookies. I’m surprised though because cookie shops near me use milk more often. Mmm chocolate chip pancakes sound good. Thanks for the idea!

Yay for all of them! Ghirardelli is the brand that came to mind first. DH loves their white chocolate chips.

I don’t think I’ve ever had chocolate chip waffles so I guess I need to remedy that! I’m surprised you like the generic brand best but that’s nice because they’re usually the cheapest. Yes to s’mores too!

I rarely eat the chocolate chips by themselves. I use a couple bags each Christmas for my (actually Mamie Eisenhower’s) fudge recipe.
I eat more dark choc just b/c it has less sugar and a bit healthier. But I love a good creamy milk chocolate. I'm not brand specific, I like all our choc shops. Downtown Calgary has Bliss, The Choc Factory which has over 30 flavors of bonbons. It's really pricey but every now and then you just need a really good choc fix!
That’s wonderful your daughter surprised you with homemade cookies! I’ve never made fudge but I do like to eat it in small quantities.
