Ok ladies, what shampoos do you use!? Repair hair essentials? I need one to help with breakage. My body is changing and it's like when I was pregnant and I had breakage from hormones and stuff. And it's in the front of my head, so now I have lots sticking up, haha! So, anything that helps with breakage would be fantastic! I use conditioner too, so that would be good info as well. I use Dry Shampoo, and have my favs, but I really need the ones for in the shower.
Most of the time I just use Pantene (smooth) for both shampoo and conditioner. I love the smell, they clean well and don't dry out my hair.
My hair was wrecked with all the surgeries/procedures requiring anesthesia I had during a 6 month period. It was extremely thin and stringy on the ends. I did some research and I saw that biotin & collagen would be good to use on my hair (along with a haircut). So for the past year I've used 2 different biotin & collagen shampoos/conditioners. I forget the first brand (hated the conditioner bottle) so I found another one that I'm currently using. OGX Biotin & Collagen is the brand. I found it at Wal-Mart and it has both a shampoo and conditioner. I've noticed in the last few weeks that my hair is thicker on top and even without a trim since November, it is not as thin and stringy on the ends but I am in need of a good trim... scheduled for Friday. It's also been 13 months since the last procedure that required anesthesia and I had read that the after effects of anesthesia can last about a year. So 5 surgeries/procedures did quite the havoc on my hair. It is looking much better though! Also, I've been taking a Hair/Skin/Nails supplement for over a year as well. Those take about 6 months to really help so between the 2 my hair is looking much better. That supplement was also found at Wal-Mart, Spring Valley is the brand.
Thank you ladies. I was using a Suave set that I loved the scent... and I just switched to a Pantene set... but might have to get supplements to help I think. I also read collagen helps too! I don't usually do a 2 in one as my hair doesn't seem to like not having it's own conditioner. It feels rough and doesn't straighten nicely.
I use whatever name brand shampoo happens to be on sale....probably not the best idea given I have scalp issues!
I had also read that collagen is good for the hair and am glad I found the biotin/collagen shampoo and conditioner. Both brands I used were separate products. The hair supplements also have collagen in them.
I use shampoo bars. It's made a rotal difference in my hair. It's softer and less grease... and it's grown longer. I love the rice water ones ... but I have all sorts of scents . Easy to travel with and less trash for environment
I'm having total hair issues right now. We had some really bad water issues last summer that basically wrecked my hair...along with processing it...so I'm battling a lot of breakage. I do take supplements because my hair has always been fine and slow to grow. I currently use L'Oreal Ever Pure Sulfate Free Shampoo and Conditioner.
I use Fructis Pure Clean and Sleek and Shine-I alternate. I also bought Pantene Pro V. I don't know if you should switchout different kinds or not.
I use L’anza but it’s more than I’d like to spend. I’m looking for a cheaper salon set for fine hair when I use it up, maybe nexxus or redkin which I’ve used before.
