My daughter and my neice are both having babies in the next few weeks. My other neice and my BFF's daughter just had babies a couple of weeks ago. It's a baby boom around here! I've purchased a couple of things for each one, like diapers and outfits, but I'm wondering if there is that random thing out there that people don't think of right off that might be really helpful. They all pretty much have all the essentials.

If you have kids or grandkids, is there that one thing that couldn't have lived without?
Or that thing that you didn't know you'd need but were glad you had?
Grandparents, is there something that was a must-have for your house for visits?
Even if you don't have kids, is there something you've seen that you thought would be great for a parent to have?

I love buying baby stuff! It's all so little and cute!

Swaddle blankets (we used Aden + Anais)

Or that thing that you didn't know you'd need but were glad you had?
Nosefrida (some people think these are gross but it's terrifying when babies can't breathe)

When they are walking/climbing, a kitchen tower/kitchen helper to be up with the action & helping in the kitchen. It's also where my second stood to eat since she wanted freedom & didn't want to be in a highchair/seated.

Ooh yes, the Nosefrida. I think my daughter had one with her last baby, but that hadn't even crossed my mind! Great idea! Thanks!

I've seen those! They are great! I should get one for my 2 year old granddaughter and then she can pass it down :)

The littles love the elephant soft foam kid size chair we have. They’ve all loved to sit in it.
They also loved the Three Sprouts folding canvas animal bookshelf.

With my oldest, the swaddle blanket was a NEED. Lol. Also with both of them, we loved the white noise sound machines, so we didn't have to feel like we had to tip toe around them and it helped them sleep so much better.

    And diapers. so many diapers.

Hands down, I would not have survived without a baby carrier. We had a Lillebaby and the lumbar support was such a blessing for me. My son did not want to be put down and having him safely strapped to me, hands free, was the only way anything got done ever. We cloth diapered so I wouldn't have been able to keep up with diaper laundry otherwise.

One of my favourite things when the kids were little were the BabyBjörn baby carrier - made so well. I kick myself that I lent it out because they don't have the one I used anymore. I was expecting it back but it never made its way to me.

Also baby sunglasses - so necessary in a sunny climate. We have a lot of sun (although cooler days than down south). The ones we had were a soft frame with the elastic back, so not a hard plastic frame like most of them have now.
