As you are all aware, we recently updated our server to be able to improve our security, processing power and support future growth of the community/store. Behind the scenes work is still being doing to help improve our system capabilities and support the longevity of the forum, store, blog and our growth. As I am working behind the scenes, one thing that has to be evaluated is all the data we have behind the scenes--this data exists from the beginning of TLP time. Think of all this data as being similar to your email inbox. Every so often you have to go in and clean things up and out. This is essentially where things are at as it relates to data. While I currently do not have specifics on potential impact (I will update everyone, when I do), I'm just being cautious and covering some bases here. I want to ask every to be extra mindful and remember to take the following steps: download your product within a couple days of your order download links are good for 30 days from purchase or after 5 uses (whichever comes first) remember to back up your files, after 30 days we will no longer be able to reset order links I also want to encourage everyone to get in the practice of checking your "stash" before you purchase.
Thank you Esther for reminding us of certain rules and for all the work you do behind the scenes. As far as I'm concerned, I no longer get annoyed by the slowness of certain actions in TLP. It's once again a pleasure for me to be a TLP regular, so thank you for updating the server.
I did my backup yesterday! I usually do it on Fridays, but I got so busy on Friday that it didn't get done. I was twitchy until I got it done. Lol. I love all the wonderful improvements you've done around here already. I still kind of wince when I click the Gallery button expecting it to be slow and now it's SO much faster! Yahoo!
