Any travel plans you have set up for this year or coming up!? I've got a couple weekends to travel to look at colleges for my youngest, Colin. He's a junior now. I'm in NJ, so one will be going north (like Uconn, Boston, RH, and NY), and one will be going west/south (VA, PA, WV). Then after we get into a couple schools, we will take a final tour of some that we didn't get to ahead of time that might be further away. Those might be IN, and further. Then I have a weekend in PA or NY with friends. Low key, chill and good times. We are figuring out our Airbnb this week, so I'm excited for our options. What about you?
Heading to California May 29th for my bonus granddaughter's wedding. My bio-granddaughter is flying out with me. We're arriving on Thursday, going to Disneyland on Friday, wedding is Saturday evening, Natasha is flying home Sunday morning, then I'm going back to Disneyland for three days before flying home. I'm also cruising with the Mouse in December with my son, DIL, Natasha and her s/o.
I have tickets purchased to go back to Morocco and see the husband for his birthday in October. I also really want to go back for our first anniversary in January
We've got a few trips planned. I'm going to visit my parents for a week in Viriginia. Then we're going to my son's graduation in Los Angeles and in the summer we're going to South Korea for vacation.
I'm flying back to Utah in a couple of weeks to tend Maddyn while Aspen goes on a girls trip. I'll also be helping Megan move out of her dorm, and my hubby, Rob, is going to be driving her car back to Georgia. Also while I'm there I'll be helping Aspen and Brandon pack so they can move to med school. I'll get back to Georgia the first part of May and then all our kids and grandkids are coming to visit us. It's gonna be crazy, crazy for about 6 weeks, but I'm so glad we'll get to see our kids and grandkids.
I love cruising! We went in January for 10 days. So much fun! Enjoy Disney and the wedding! Long flight and a little sticker shock! Hoping you can make it happen!
So many great places! I am about 4-5 hours from VA, and have family there! I've never been to LA and what an accomplishment - exciting! South Korea sounds amazing too! oh boy - go, go go, and more go, Kayla! At least the travel counts for visits with everyone!
I found round trip tickets for 610 in Oct... I'm good at finding cheap.. but yes long long flights ..most 19 hours or more..but he is worth every second I have to fly
Got 3 bus trips scheduled this year. The end of June is a trip to South Dakota to visit the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, and the Black Hills. A scrapping friend lives in (as she says) the shadow of Rushmore so we hope to meet up while I'm there. I'll be sending her the itinerary and she'll figure out what works best for her. I'm going alone although the bus leader on my bus is a high school classmate that was also on the trip to Cape Cod last year. So I'll probably be spending a lot of time with her too. The end of August/beginning of September, my college friend (that went to Cape Cod with me) and I are going on a bus trip to Nova Scotia & Prince Edward Island. We'll also see Acadia National park in Maine and have some stops in New Brunswick. The end of September (returning on my birthday Oct 4) is a trip to Vermont. Going alone on this one as well but my high school friend will be one of the bus leaders so will probably spend time with her.
Heading to the beach this summer. Haven't settled on a date yet, but we are thinking of going to Hilton Head this year and taking a ferry ride in to Savannah. I'm sure there will probably be other mini trips, just haven't made any definite plans.
We have one camping trip planned for September currently and then we want to plan another long weekend trip for sometime this summer, but otherwise not much travel planned with the hubby. In October I do have a trip planned to fly to Connecticut for an art retreat week with a friend, so I'm really looking forward to that. Speaking of, we really need to get our flights booked soon.
No plans yet but we'll probably end up taking the kiddo to Kennedy Space Center since we didn't go for his birthday this year. (And if he gets 2 days at Kennedy, I get the day before at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge!)
We have a cruise planned this Friday! Squeal! In December we have another trip planned to visit the kids in the UK. Here's hoping.
Nothing planned yet, but very hopeful. Monica @umyesh I'm jealous you're visiting the place I spent the first 24 years of my life. Have fun!
Maybe a trip to the zoo...lol. It's super hard to travel with Charlotte since she has to be boarded. As she gets older, and I get older I am less trusting of others to take care of her. It's difficult to hear that she isn't eating or drinking water when we are hundreds of miles away. And it is super pricey now too to board her. For a week it was $250.
I have yet to plan out my summer. I usually try to stick closer to home for the summer since it is the best season of weather in Idaho and there is plenty of camping and hiking for me to enjoy around here. Still, I have to plan that or it doesn't happen.
We have a polar bear expedition booked for the fall but no cruises this year. With the US exchange on Canadian money it is just not worth it to travel outside of Canada right now. If things don't improve next year then maybe we'll look at another east coast trip. I would love to go to Newfoundland/Labrador so I'll keep my eye on pricing for that. I am going away with a friend for a wkend birding trip and I'll go on another one later in the spring into Saskatchewan/Manitoba for birding. There are lots of wkend driving trips to think about.
