Sometime ago, we ate at a Polish restaurant and had the most amazing pickle soup! It was delicious. My husband was repulsed by the entire dish. He dislikes pickles, I love them. I guess that’s one of the reasons we can stick together. Do you like pickles? Have you ever had any dishes with pickles that others may think are strange? Have you ever had pickle soup?

Compared to my mum I am not a huge pickle fan - I'll have a bit of pickle relish or the odd bread and butter pickle but thats about my limit

I like dill pickles but not sweet pickles. I don’t have them on hamburgers but I do like to wrap baby dill pickles with a piece of turkey lunchmeat.

I do like pickles and my hubby hates them too. Lol. I like them on things, but I don't usually eat just a plain pickle except for sometimes on the garnish trays when there are the little sweet crunchy mini pickles. I like a tiny bit of those just plain. My hubby says that if they put a pickle on his sandwich that it's ruined. Lol. He will peel it off and still eat it but he's not thrilled about it. lol.

I'm not a pickle person and my husband only likes them when fried.

Weirdest pickle dish I ever saw was a pickle juice slush at Sonic. Not an April Fool's prank and I'm pretty sure D's sister probably ordered one. *Someone* has to be the pickle eater in every family...

@bjc have you tried these? I think you can get them in the tri-state area... I have gotten them in TX and now here in VA and thrilled to pieces.. they taste as close to the ones we would get by my Aunt's in West Caldwell NJ.. She found these in TX when they moved there and YUM!

I am hit or miss with Pickles. I really love crunchy dill ones... and crisp ones on burgers or sandwhiches but they have to be crunchy or crispy i cant stand soggy ones! and those kitchen or salt and vingar ones really gross me out

I'm hit or miss too. Some days they hit just right and others, meh. My daughter recently introduced me to Grillo's pickle chips and those are delish! I mostly don't like pickles on sandwiches.

A complication for us is that our son is allergic to pickles so we have to be careful with them.

I can only eat crunchy dill ones. I was really excited the other day because I've been on a pickle kick lately, and I found a big jar of pickles at Costco that looked really yummy. I got them home and opened them, but was horribly disappointed because they were sweet... and not very crunchy. Luckily, my husband will eat them, but I was sad and now am re-offended every time I see the darn jar in the fridge :giggle.

I've never had pickle soup, never heard of it. I do love breaded fried pickles and a few of our restaurants serve them.

I like them with my hamburgers. Once in Poland we had them on a pizza! :)

Do you like pickles? Yes but dill only.

Have you ever had any dishes with pickles that others may think are strange? Not that I can recall...

Have you ever had pickle soup? No but I'd definitely try it!

My friend would drink pickle juice from the jar in high school and i thought she was crazy lol

Pickles are my most enduring lifelong food dislike. I almost didn't even open this thread. I'm with @Karen 's husband and always try to remember to say "no pickle please" in restaurants when applicable.

Funny thing: In recent years, since I've learned to make them myself, I like pickled onions. I also like other vinegar-y things, like sauerkraut. Still haven't been interested in trying pickled cucumbers though. Maybe because I don't like un-pickled cucumbers much either (though I will occasionally eat them if they're mixed into something).

I am a fan of both dill pickles and sweet ones. I've never had pickles soup before (and I'm not sure I would try it if I could). For weird things with pickles, I like dill-pickle pre-mixed salad and the boys like dill pickle chips.

I love pickles, but mainly only dill. I'm not a big fan of sweet pickles. I can't think of anything really weird right off, but I did see a recipe the other day for Air Fryer Stuffed Pickles that looked pretty good!

Love me some pickles! I especially like a lightly sweet Horseradish Pickles. YUM! They are sweet but have a kick that I love. Crunchy is best. I like smaller off brand pickles. My friend makes them and made a Horseradish batch for me... they weren't sweet at all and had a huge kick, but still yummy!

I went to Nashville, and had Pickle Moonshine. I loved it, but not the pickles in the jar. I would rather take them out, and just use my own. I have never had pickle soup, nor have I seen it!

I only like baby dill pickles - because the crunch to squish ratio works I guess? Dill Pickle chips were one of my pregnancy cravings with my youngest though! :)
