It's March and for most people that means spring, but for me, it's birthday season. We seem to all have birthdays either in March / April, or August / September. We have 28 people in our family and only 4 have birthdays in other months. Crazy! So I'm starting on the first one for my nephew using Yay! It's Your Day! by ninigoesdigi. It's not a fancy card by any means, but since it's for a 2 year old, I'm okay with that Well, I guess I'd better get moving on some more. How do birthdays work in your families?
Love the card. Not many birthdays in my family - my cousin 2/24, my mum 3/31, my grandmother was 6/27, I'm 7/10, my uncle is 8/24 & aunt is 10/3.
My immediate family has a January birthday, another in May, and the remaining 3 in November. The one with the January birthday doesn't care to observe birthdays. The person with the May birthday loves to plan birthdays and design custom birthday cakes. My birthday is in November and every time I want something in November I say, "Well, it's my birth month!" My older November baby always brings our family together for birthday celebrations and my younger November baby is a more practical sort who doesn't ask for much but does like a little celebrating, and some cake.
We are heavy on the April & September birthdays too, lol! And lots of friends with similar, so it's a juggling which parties we can attend. Very cute card!! I should make some homemade ones this year!
All good & intelligent people are born in March. It's my birthday tomorrow. (Or technically in my time zone, in 20 minutes)
Such a cute card, I love that kit! In our immediate family we just ended "birthday season" -- all our birthdays are within six months of each other, from August through February, so now we have a break again until August. In our extended family they are spread throughout the year but we seem to have the most in February!
Wow! That's so crazy that they are mostly in four months of the year! Keeps you busy card making! In my immediate family we have 3 of the 4 birthdays in March and April, so it's definitely birthday season for us too! Love your cute card above, especially the fun background paper!
I’m sure your nephew will love the card, it’s a perfect card for a two year old with cake and party hats! In my immediate family, three of four have their birthdays in April or May, I’m the black sheep with a December birthday. In my extended family we have two main birthday groups, one in April/May and another in August/September.
As for our family Birthdays, we have one per month, there used to be two birthdays in May and two in July, but my Mum, and Daddy in law passed away, so everyone has a month all to themselves now.
Almost. I guess tant is the same word as aunt etymological. But a tant isn't a word used for a relative in that way, it's more like any old(er) lady. Like you would call your mother's friends tant Eva, tant Olga and so on. When we got internet, I was over 30 (super old!) and thought it was fun to be Tant Eva with the world. I've kept the name all over internet.
April is crazy for me with birthdays and spring break and church conference and Easter so I’m always breathing lighter when April is over.
In my household. It does March, April, May, July In our extended families, birthdays are all over the place with at least one in each month.
Isn't it funny how so many of us have birthday "groups" in our family? I would love to do a study on this and get statistical data!
