It was lovely to read more about Anja. I do have quite a few of her products but I guess I really need to play more with them.

1. Which of my collections or kits have you used (or are most drawn to), and why? I've just bought Sun-dappled Summer Days, the rich colours are beautiful amd I love the butterflies, birds and flowers.
2. What do you think is the most recognizable feature of my style? (e.g., textures, colors, themes, atmosphere…). Shabby vintage, definitely, often nature inspired with beautiful florals.
3. My collections often revolve around a theme. What new theme would you love to see from me? Afternoon Tea/Tea Party
4. If you could describe my designs in just three words, what would they be? Elegant, timeless, nostalgic.
5. Which of my past collections do you think deserves a ‘sequel’ or an expanded version? Stargazer - to include star signs

 

1. Which of my collections or kits have you used (or are most drawn to), and why? If I had to choose, The Wheel of the Year collections because I like the traditions.
2. What do you think is the most recognizable feature of my style? (e.g., textures, colors, themes, atmosphere…) Artsy whimsiness
3. My collections often revolve around a theme. What new theme would you love to see from me? You did a collection on cats "Catified" I would like to see a similar one on on dogs
4. If you could describe my designs in just three words, what would they be? Fanciful, whimsical, watercolory
5. Which of my past collections do you think deserves a ‘sequel’ or an expanded version? The fairytales - I love Mirror, Mirror and Frog Prince.

 

• Which of my collections or kits have you used (or are most drawn to), and why? The first AWA kit I ever bought was Stargazer because I loved the astronomical theme.

• What do you think is the most recognizable feature of my style? magical, fantastical themes and gorgeous rich colors; also it was interesting reading about realism in the interview above because that is something else I'm drawn to, but I hadn't consciously noticed that yet (but did looking through my current AWA stash)

• My collections often revolve around a theme. What new theme would you love to see from me? I don't have a strong wish for any theme right now, but some that I'd enjoy would be music, education, environmentalism, and food. I just bought the Woodland Walks kit this evening because that is something I love, so perfect for me.

• If you could describe my designs in just three words, what would they be? beautiful, artsy, & imaginative

• Which of my past collections do you think deserves a ‘sequel’ or an expanded version? I'd like to see another autumn kit.

Great idea about the Stargazer sequel and the star signs, this has been on my head for a long time alreay, just haven't had the time for it yet!

 

Thank you so much for giving me your thoughts Janis! Yes, a dog collection... I believe one of my creative team members also suggested this once... I'm not a dog lover, I was once chased by two dogs when I was 12 and ever since I have been scared of dogs, they just don't 'speak' to me... but I think a dog collection must be doable... Will keep this in mind!
And ah yes, the fairytales... I'm so glad you like those. There are still many fairytales that can be translated into a scrapbook kit LOL!

 

Yes, LOL, realism is quite important to me... I realize that not everyone even thinks of that (or even notices), but to me it's vital! Music is a good theme, yes, have thought about this before already... I do have a BYOC collection about Earth Day, because you mentioned environmentalism and a set of printables with images inspired by ecological themes. This is very important theme for me. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer these questions!

I do not own many collections or Kits but I just had to buy A Whimsical Witches Tea Party for a Fantasy page I wanted to create. ( I will share that below). I really liked the realistic illustrations of the pretty witches.
2. What do you think is the most recognizable feature of my style? (e.g., textures, colors, themes, atmosphere…) I think so much stands out - great papers and such interesting themes.
3. My collections often revolve around a theme. What new theme would you love to see from me? I am not sure if you much beach themed or rainforest themed collections. These are two of my favourite places to visit.
4. If you could describe my designs in just three words, what would they be? Artistic, Realistic, Unique
5. Which of my past collections do you think deserves a ‘sequel’ or an expanded version? Maybe more of The Witches Tea Party or someone else's tea party. I do like the colours in the Witches kit.

What a shame I missed the day of Anja's celebration, as I was hoping to pick something from the shop. Oh, well... Nevermind, I will be back with the page or two from the kits I already have.

 

1. Which of my collections or kits have you used (or are most drawn to), and why? Too many? I'd say my favorite is Urban Love Tales. Also: Every Day is Earth Day.
2. What do you think is the most recognizable feature of my style? (e.g., textures, colors, themes, atmosphere…) The excellent artistry - delicate, beautiful and detailed.
3. My collections often revolve around a theme. What new theme would you love to see from me? Astrology - the Zodiac. Peace Love & Understanding. And I'm always on the look for kits about vegetarianism/veganism.
4. If you could describe my designs in just three words, what would they be? Think I just did that above: delicate, beautiful and detailed.
5. Which of my past collections do you think deserves a ‘sequel’ or an expanded version? Mythical Characters No 1. Gaia deserves a complete collection.

All? LOL. No, not all, obviously, but I just LOVE Anja's style. My all-time favorite are:
A Whimsical Witches' Tea Party (hands down #1), Wheel of the Year (plus all related smaller kits, i.e. The Spirit of Imbolc), Wolf Moon, Urban Love Tales, Sylvanescence, Mirror Mirror, Sometimes the Frog Is a Prince, and A Winter's Tale. I am naming just a few because the list would be waaay too long, really

Whimsy, of course! I also appreciate Anja's ability to "see deeper" or "beyond" the "veil of reality." I know it sounds very lofty, but it's rather simple. It's just realizing that there is more in life that we can experience with our senses and that magic/ symbolism/ spirituality is everywhere we turn, especially in nature.

I would love to see a dog theme (but I know it might be a problem, so I'm not pushing ). I love the idea of 4 elements (earth, air, water, and fire), as well as fairy tales/legends/myths from all over the world (I can help with Slavic folklore! ), astrology/zodiac, alchemy.

Whimsical, artful, symbolic (or spiritual - I cannot decide on the last one )

Ha! Do I have a list?! I would like to see a continuation of:

• the Wolf Moon with a series dedicated to other full moons of a year
• more Mythical Characters, Creatures, and Places
• more fairy tales
• it's awesome that Shaded Stories just got a second part, and I would like to see more with different colors and shades
• I LOVE @ArmyGrl ideas for Sylvanescence sequels!
