How's everyone doing? I'm feeling pretty good about my goals. I did mess up once and popped some chocolate in my mouth without thinking. I've come close to my exercise goal.
That's great that you've only messed up once with the chocolate and come close to your exercise goal. I haven't exercised at all, unless you count walking into Walmart from the far end of the parking lot exercise (because I couldn't find a closer spot)... But I have done pretty good on drinking water and haven't snacked as much as I used too either. When I have snacked it's been healthier things like clementines and apples, so I count that as a move in the right direction!
I’ve been increasing my water intake and starting to see the difference in my skin. Actual workouts haven’t happened yet. I did add another walk in the evenings to help clear my mind before tackling more items on my to do list. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Can I say…… I really want a chocolate chip cookie at about right now!! lol! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Health goals... I haven't gotten new glasses or an eye checkup in 8 years.. I need to do that! I'd love to add a real consistent exercise routine & get the kids involved so they build that skill young. With no negative connotations around it & body image & they'll just think it's a fun thing to do with me. Also I need to be better about taking my vitamins. When I'm good with those I really can feel a difference. I just suck at doing things FOR ME.
We got snowed in and everything just fell apart. I have no motivation in times like that. I just sit, eat, drink, binge shows. Hopefully things will clear up and warm up and I'll find my motivation!
I bought some sugar free chocolate chips from Costco that are really good. I have a few of those with some pecans in the afternoon. Makes me feel like I've had a treat.
I've committed to strength training twice a week. I'm in an online exercise class with cameras on, so no skipping! It is actually covered by our provincial health care (GLAD program) and our first actual exercise session is this Friday. I have very bad knees (osteoarthritis), so gaining strength is a must for me.
I was doing well with working out but last week when my dog had a medical crisis and my son was on evacuation alert from the CA fires, I slacked a couple days and didn’t eat great. I’m mostly back n track this week.
I'm aiming to eat as nutritionally dense meals at the moment....not that I don't already do that but in times of high stress & emotion it's too easy to skip meals or make iffy choices. Other than that my hope is to see my doctor for an overdue appointment (nothing absolutely urgent or critical)....was planning on it being about a week or so ago once my doctor's office reopened for 2025 but other more important things have popped up
Well well well... it's been 25 days since I posted in here and only yesterday I finally went to the gym. Nothing better than a health threat to make you move your butt, right? Now it's my right knee that is hurting, probably because after month of inactivity and unconciously leaning on it too much because my left knee is in bad shape, I have now 2 bad knees. I really need to muscle up my thighs so that my legs can carry my weight cause let's face it, it's not going anywhere I will try to go again on Thursday after work and then on Saturday. I will be going back to France to see family mid-February so I need to have better legs to carry me there. Cross fingers for me.
Sorry about your knee hurting! It's hard to make progress sometimes for sure. Hope you have a great trip.
My month has been up and down. I did not too bad staying away from sugar. I did have some slip ups. But, I didn't meet my exercise goal any of the weeks. I probably exercised twice a week. I'm going to keep plugging along.
