How old is your profile photo?

Mine is from 2022, so not that old. I do have one from 2008ish that I use at other forums, cuz I love the edit on that one.

 

Mine is from 2021 on my birthday... I love the light on the photo and I look happy... no forced smile. Selfies are usually posed and I don't always like them... though I take lots... I've done a daily diary post since 2020 and often needed a photo so a selfie was taken... hehehe. My family groan everytime I want to take photos. Not sure if I will change this one anytime soon... I look pretty much the same.

 

I think mine is ten years old. My face is older and skinnier now and my hair is darker.

 

Mine is from 2009 and I was much skinnier back then. I don't usually like photos of me, so when I come across one I like, I stick with it, lol!

 

Mine is from my 60th birthday. That's been more than two years ago now. Unfortunately, I don't look as fit as I did then. Been a stressful couple of years.

 

Mine is from October 2024. So, not old at all! Although I don't usually wear my glasses, I tend to wear my contacts.

 

lol mine is nearly 15 years old. It was taken on my husband and I's first anniversary, March 30, 2010. I have considered changing it, but it's been up here since I joined and I like to think it's how you all recognize me. Maybe I'll convince him to recreate the photo and I'll update it, that way you all still recognize me in the forums lol

 

I've been using my little book nerd avatar since I first started participating on message boards back in the dark ages before Facebook even. I'm very reluctant to the idea of changing to an actual photo of me.

Mine's actually recent, shockingly, but that's only because I just recently updated it since I had been away from the forum for like a year. I do rarely take selfies anymore though. I have to be honest that I'm just not a fan of how I look anymore. I'm in a weird in between stage where I kinda look young, but I have certain things that look old and I just don't like it. I have always wanted to be one of those women who age gracefully and don't stress about trying to maintain youth, and I am still that way, but gosh, it's hard. When I put the camera up to my face, I'm always like yikes. I think 2025 I need to take some new pics and just get used to it!!

Michelle, I totally understand the pain with the DSLR. I don't even try with selfies on my D90 anymore. I also rarely shoot with it, and it makes me kind of sad. It's just sitting abandoned in my closet. I used to have that thing around my neck 24/7, and it was my prized possession. Now it's outdated and unloved.

 

I think I took mine last year or end of 2023 at the latest. I try to update mine at least once a year or so

 

I keep mine updated. This one I have now is from Dec.

 

Mine is from 2019 and was taken on our 50th anniversary while cruising in Alaska. My hair is now white (it probably was back then too! Tee hee ). Perhaps it’s time to update.

 

Thanksgiving 2009, I believe? That's a LONG time ago!

 

mine is from 2018 and so far I keep it because I like the way my hair was cut. After moving 3+ years ago, one of the things I miss most was my hair cutter.

But now I'm looking at it and wanting my younger skin back too.
