Hello. Its been awhile since i posted. I wanted to start back up my digi scrapbooking. I have done a few since but not alot. I got a new computer and my older scrapbooking is going so slow on me it crashes. I ended up getting photoshop and its so different from my other program. Is there a video here that will give little tips for new starters for that program. Thanks in advance. Hope to be posting soon again. - Nativescrapper aka Cheryl
Hello Cheryl, welcome. I'm an Affinity scrapper, so I can't help you directly. There are lots of Photoshop tutorials in the Learning Pad, but I don't know which one(s) are for getting started. I'm sure one of our Photoshop experts will link you up soon. https://the-lilypad.com/forum/forum/learning-pad.351/
In the learning pad there are some tutorials as Angela noted.. if there is something specific you want to learn let us know and we are more than happy to assist along the way. Just give us a shout out.
Welcome back Cheryl! I don't have a specific tutorial suggestion but I know that here on TLP and on YouTube and on webpages there are lots of helpful things. I just did a search in YouTube for "getting started digital scrapbooking with Photoshop." It listed a bunch for Photoshop Elements first, but after scrolling a bit I saw some for full Photoshop. Then I tapped the filter button (upper right corner) and filtered to see just videos made in the last year. Here's the link to that search. https://www.youtube.com/results?sea...l+scrapbooking+with+Photoshop&sp=EgIIBQ%3D%3D I'm trying to remember how I started learning digiscrapping (beginning in 2005) and really, it was more playing around in the program and being ok with whatever I made, slowly improving over the years. Have fun!
Welcome back, Cheryl! When helping family and friends learn Photoshop, I often suggest they pick one of my designs to replicate. This approach gives them a clear objective and helps them stay focused while learning. I start by teaching them the basics, then address specific skills as challenges arise during the process. Best of luck as you dive back into Photoshop!
Glad you are back at it. Best of luck learning Photoshop. The source that I used to learn it is no longer out there since it has been several years. Wish I could be of more help. I know that for me, it is repetition that helps me learn best. Just getting in there and doing the work of making pages.
Welcome back Cheryl!! It's lovely to see you! Like many others, I started using PS in the 2000's and don't exactly recall how I got started, but it's definitely worth sticking with it through the learning curve, since it's a wonderful tool! The Learning Pad has a wealth of information - I always pick up something useful whenever I peruse it!
Hi Cheryl! Welcome back. I took a peek at your gallery and your pages are beautiful! Just a thought about PS -- it has a serious depth of stuff you can do so definitely start simple and learn as you go.
Thank you for the link. I did find some last night on you tube. They are older videos but I think I can find more today.
The older program I used is just a little different. The sequence to do things are not the same. I just need to learn those in photoshop and I’ll get the hang of it real quick.
