Winner Announced***CLOSED***Witch Slow Scrap|Halloween Bash 2024

"Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and caldron bubble" It’s Halloween Witches! We are going to have a cackling good time with this SLOWWWW Witchy scrap!

I will be giving a total of nine instructions throughout the Bash, one initial instruction, then four separate instructions throughout the day Friday and four separate instructions throughout the day on Saturday. Then, you will have Sunday to complete and post your layout. You can receive bonus entries for the final prize if you post your partial layout in this thread as you complete an instruction.

Let’s get started:

1. Did you know that witches wearing the color black likely stems from the Renaissance era, when black was associated with Black Magic? So, let’s start with a dark background paper—black being ideal as it’s a little witchy, but I’ll accept other colors like navy’s, royal purples etc.

2. Did you know that a coven of witches must have at least 3 members? So, we will go with adding three patterned papers, no more, no less to your layout.

3. Witches often work alone, so add one photo to your page. You may add a frame or stroke to it.

4. Witches have spells, sometimes in a spell book, on a card or just lying around, so add a Book, Journal Card or Tag somewhere on your layout.

5. Witches have cauldrons with colorful smoke spewing from it. Add some colorful paint to your black BG paper…can’t be just white…needs to have some color in it too.

6. So, it takes at least three witches to make a coven, but did you know that an ideal coven contains 13 witches! Add 13 --no more, no less--elements to your layout. Duplicates count towards the 13.

7. Cast a spell on your page with a one-word title.

8. Chant the spell by using a word art somewhere on your layout.

9. Finally, witches have threads of magic woven throughout their lives…use stitches or thread somewhere on your layout! (at this point you may also add a date and journaling if you like)

Please remember the following rules while making your layout:

1. Layouts must contain a minimum of 50% TLP products to comply with our gallery standards. Any templates used count for a total of 15%.

2. You must post your layout in the TLP gallery and then post in this thread with a link to the gallery image of your page.

3. Your layout must be posted in this thread no later than 11:59 PM EDT on Sunday, October 20th. All entries will be entered into a random drawing where one person will win a $3 coupon to The Lilypad store.

 

It will be the same layout, just versions of it as you add to it with the instructions. So far your layout should only have directions 1-4 on it, nothing else.
