August's Art Journal Muse Winner @LuLuLor Congratulations!! I'll be contacting you shortly with your prize. ********** Hi y'all!! Welcome to week four of the August Muse Challenges. I hope y'all have been enjoying our art journal challenges this month. For this final week of August, our focus will continue to be creating abstract pages bases on different shapes. Week 4: Abstract Squares and Butterfly Shapes For Week Four, we will be using square shapes and butterfflies. You can combine solid shapes with softer more artistic shapes. This is your time to play with all your artsy supplies. Use paint, gesso, stamps, ink. There are only two requirements this week. First, the focus of the page should be the square and butterfly shapes.(Squares are required. Butterflies are optional.) Second, this is a no photo page. For this week's page, we are creating abstract, artsy pages. Inspiration Board Here is an inspiration board I created using images from Pinterest. This board only shows squares in use because I couldn't find any pages combining both. (But I'd still love to see you play with butterflies.) Here is my page. I tried to really go abstract. I still don't know how I feel about it. Challenge Rules Create an artsy, abstract page with the focus of the page being square and buterfly shapes. No templates allowed. Your page can be all digital or hybrid. Wherever the inspiration takes you as long as you include TLP products on your page and it meets the requirements to post in the TLP gallery. Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery prior to Midnight EST 01 September 2024 and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code". We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month for a coupon!! Every page you create is equal to one entry in the random draw. So if you create 1 page you are entered once, if you create 4 pages you are entered 4 times. (Maximum of four entries.) You can use any products in the Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines). I can't wait to see y'all's pages.
Such a fun challenge Cindy thank you! I used lots of my square brushes all over the place and blended up a storm!
