Does anyone use a cheaper online back up option than Backblaze? Now I will say I love them and have zero complaints about them on the whole but with exchange rates they are getting a bit too expensive for me. In saying that, if they are absolutely the best option then I'm happy to keep with them but as someone who doesn't have a lot of spare money any time I can save a bit I will. Doing EHD backups are not for me as I know I won't do them often enough and plus right now I don't actually have a big enough EHD anyway.

I haven't shopped around in a long time but BB was the best/cheapest option for large backups (especially with an EHD) the last time I checked. I'm curious if there are new developments, though!

I've heard good things about iDrive but have no idea about cost or what it can do.

I just did a little research -- not at all comprehensive -- and I didn't find anything cheaper than BB for me. But I need unlimited (of at least 5 TB) of backup and ability to include autobackup of an EHD. There were some deals that would get me a discount on the first year but after that it'd be the same price or more than BB, so not worth switching for all the hassle.

Thanks all. I figured there probably wasn't much that was better than Backblaze, it was more that with exchange rates it was very quickly creeping up to almost $20 a month hence looking into options

Backblaze if worth it. It saved me when my old iMac instantly died. Now mine all goes to the Cloud and external drives.
    How much is Backblaze now?
