I love the end of the month because the new MPM comes out! This month is full of fantastic journal cards and pattern papers. I made a list of cards I wanted to make throughout this month and thought I'd show you my first one. I stamped a background stamp onto one of pattern papers with embossing ink and then used a clear embossing powder to trap the design of the paper underneath. Next, I went over the entire card panel with distress ink, and then wiped away the ink that the embossing powder resisted. You can see the original pattern of the paper peeking through the stamped embossing powder! Once that was done, I just used a two different papers to create the top of the card and then cut out the bird embellishment which I placed next to my stamped sentiment. This card was super fast and it's only one of the many I'm making using this versatile collection! Let me see what y'all have made with this newest MPM collection!
Oh my gosh! I love that bird on top! Super cool effect with the embossing over the patterned paper too!
Isn't that bird irresistable?? I used it and other designs to make this notepad for April's Hybrid Challenge
@mocamom I love what you did with the embossing powder and distress ink! And that bird is so gorgeous! @dawnmarch Liking the notepad...off to check the April challenge.
Thank y'all for saying such nice things! @dawnmarch I love your notepad and will be making one for my MIL. What a fabulous idea!
I love how the bird is staying on top of everything This card makes me want to bring out my embossing powder.
