I am soooo glad it's Friday. DH has been out of town the last two weeks, but he's home now. We're definitely having a date night! My mom is visiting and she's taking the kids to Forks & Screens, so they will have a fun night as well. Other than some more severe weather here, it should be a super weekend. What do you have planned?
My family is heading across the state to see my sisters new house. They had to relocate a year ago for her hubby's work and have been living in an apartment all this time with two little boys. She's been going nuts trying to keep them quiet because their neighbors kept complaining. Her boys are super quiet kids too, so I can't imagine! Anyway they finally closed on their new house AND got the old owners out after an extra month so this is a long awaited dream for them! I can't wait to see it!
Laura - yay for date night!! Have a great time! Karen - what a nightmare that sounds like! I'm glad your sister and her family are finally getting into their new home to settle in! As for us, I'm not sure. DH mentioned taking the kids to a really great children's museum that isn't too far from us. That sounds like about it as far as specific plans go. Hoping for a semi-relaxing weekend.
We got one DD that has a birthday party to attend on both Saturday and Sunday. I'm going to get my hair cut and colored tomorrow afternoon (the gray's are getting to be distracting while I'm driving) and we have a sitter coming on Sunday evening so we can go out with some friends.
I hope you guys enjoy your weekends!! not much going on here. lots of laundry and reading! The hubby is working so it's just us like usual! LOL!
We went to see Rio last night, and it was SO CUTE! It was set in Brazil, so there were a few moments of {gasp! where are her clothes??} for me, but otherwise it was just great!
Yay for date nights, birthdays, movies and fun kids activities!! As for us, Brady has his first wee-ball game tomorrow afternoon! I think I'm more excited than he is! The hubs is coming home tonight...he's been TDY for almost a week and we miss him!!
Nothin' much. I work tomorrow. Rick's job just ended so he's out of work right now, we just got our taxes figured out and we owe about $7000 in state tax...so whatever we do it will be cheap cheap cheap!!! Good thing I went grocery shopping already or I may have put that off too! lol
LOL, kellie! i was born and raised in rio... i can imagine what you mean. glad to know you've enjoyed it, we'll see on sunday
I have to work from 6-10 at the local gym Friday and Saturday. On Saturday, I have to make six dozen cookies for a church event, and Sunday my baby boy turns 18.
debra! *gasp* on the taxes. i think i would cry! i haven't even heard of rio... off to check it out & see what the heck it is. i watch about ZERO tv, and therefore don't see commercials often, so i'm usually clueless. paula, six dozen cookies sounds like it ought to keep you busy! send one my way! oh, and enjoy the birthday celebration!!
Just the same old same old here. I went to Costco yesterday, need to go to the grocery store today. Other than that I'm sure we'll get the dogs out for a good run today, maybe tomorrow (it's supposed to rain). And we'll probably look for a new chandelier for the dining room. Other than that, I plan to do a whole lot of nothing!
just balanced out the check book and realized exactly how little I have... so not much planed. LOL I did CLEAN my car! It's so much better!
*ouch!* Debra. I hate tax time...although this year, we should do well since we get the homebuyer credit! And, Paula, oh, my heart hurts for you! I have another 15 years until that day, but I get all mopey just thinking about it! ((big hugs))
Oh no Debra! That really sucks. I hate it when those unexpected expenses come up! I just went to a Mom's Day event at Nate's preschool and the boys have a roller skating birthday party this afternoon to attend. Next week baseball and soccer games officially start and I won't ever have a Saturday off for weeks. We might be bringing a four legged friend into our family tomorrow. This has been a long time coming. We're excited and anxious and hope everything works out!
I will be crying when I write that check Rebecca!! I knew it was going to be coming...I planned for it, but it still hurts!! Thankfully we have a good refund coming from Federal (not as good as my State tax is bad though lol) Just having one in college (even community college) helped a lot! I want to go see Rio now! Paula...I don't know how you lost all that weight and you're still baking cookies! You have will power of steel! Happy Birthday to your son today! Carolee...can't wait to see photos of your new addition to your family!!!
