Did the time change kick your b-u-t-t too? What are you up to this week?

We went to St. Louis for a long weekend. It was sunny and 65. Today, it's SNOWING. UGH. My girls are on Spring Break this week, so I am trying to think of some fun activities to make up for a beach-less week. (DH started a new job a few months ago, so he didn't have enough vacation time for beach trip right now.) I think we're going to do a day at a local art museum and probably another at the mall. Otherwise, I am hoping to get caught up on my Project Life printing and journaling.

Not too much happening here - my 1st grader is home today, so the girls have been playing good - they love having her home! Teacher conference this afternoon for her! I always work the end of the week, so I love my first half of the week! I want to do a little baking this week - rainbow cupcakes for St. Patricks Day, and smore choc. chip cookies too! Here in MI we are looking at a little warm up this week - 57 on Thur. which sounds divine!!!

Sounds like some fun stuff for you Laura, although bummer that you couldn't do a beach vacay. :(

Work for me! Good thing I enjoy it! LOL! We had a fairly uneventful weekend. Spring cleaned on Saturday, ran a couple of errands. Our walk with the dogs turned into a walk in the rain with the dogs, and they got absolutely filthy, so they got baths when we got home, and then we just hung out! It was a nice, relaxing weekend!

No...the time change wasn't too big of a deal (or at least I don't think it was! lol)

Today was crazy. I was at work and got a call from the hospital that my dh had an accident at work. Not the call you want. He was electrocuted, thrown from a ladder onto his head. He's staying over night there but seems to be ok. They just want to be sure. Just a long stressful day.

The head safety person for this company is on a plane flying out from Minnesota tonight...just to be sure he's ok! I guess it's a pretty big deal with these workmans comp claims. He'll be back to work in a few days though....I know him!

Holy cow, Debra! That's so scary!!

    Laura, snow?? sheesh.

I'm just working my tail off to get ready for dd's bday party on Saturday. I tend to get a little crazy with the birthday parties. And I don't like spending money so it's just LOTS of little DIY projects. Then we have open house for the kids on Wed & Thurs (2 each night). No clue how I'm going to feed my family in there. Right now I'm just taking a break from deep-cleaning the kitchen, which is pretty disgusting right now. LOL I really should have saved this for AFTER the bday party but I couldn't stand it for another minute!

Thanks goodness we don't do the time change thing. It would totally kick my behind!
This weekend was super social. A wedding on Friday night and a picnic on Sunday - we were trying to squeeze the last bits of sunshine before autumn starts, and were just in time; it's been raining since Sunday night.
This week is going to be all work and little play, since there's a huge deadline coming up next week :(

yes the time change is throwing me for a loop! i was great the first day, but since then i've been dragging. and my kids keep telling me they're not tired yet at bedtime. love that.

this week is more of the same - last minute final stuff getting ready for the movers. they will be here one week from today. *gulp*
my in-laws are coming up this weekend to help me with some stuff that requires more than one adult to get done since DH isn't here at the moment.

surprisingly, the time change hasn't bothered me that much. we were all dragging on Sunday, but the last two mornings I have been up and at it better than last week. Maybe it is because my boys have been sleeping later that makes it that much better! :)

Debra!! I am so sorry about your husband's accident. That is very scary. definitely praying that all is well and he recuperates quickly.

Karah, I would be stressed about birthday party too....that is probably why we only do family around here!

Rebecca, definitely thinking of you this week and next as you finish up and start anew. Glad your in-laws can help out.

My husband is on spring break (he is in med school--2nd year), so although he is still studying during school hours for boards that are coming up in June, he has been around in the evening which has been really nice! I can't get used to it though b/c this will be the last we see of him in large time periods before the middle of June :(

Yikes Debra! That is definitely not the phone call anyone wants to get! I sure hope everything is okay with him.

My main goal for the week is to hurry up and get to the weekend! I'm going on a weekend scrapbooking retreat and I can't wait! I haven't been my usual productive self this winter, so I'm looking forward to a huge block on time to scrap like crazy! :)

We're on spring break this week too. We're heading up to the Tip of Borneo to spend the night at the beach on Friday. I hate the four hour drive, but I love the beach and having my family together (without computers) for two whole days!

I'm trying to think of something creative to do for St. Patrick's day, but it's getting to be sort of last minute by now, and I'm thinking rainbow cupcakes may be all the specialness that happens around here tomorrow. But that's special, right??

I agree! The boys watched the weather with me earlier this week and saw the pot of gold on Thursday so that is what they are calling it. I had some vague thoughts of doing something to celebrate, but that has materialized into nothing so we will see what tomorrow brings.
