So I made two different cards with Lynne-Marie's Life in Color and I decided to try stacking my sentiments rather than using foam tape. I think I like the look better and supposedly it helps keeping the card from being smooshed when mailing. Have y'all tried that?

I also fussy cut the flowers to match the printed background paper on the first card and the girl on the second card. I've decided that I will not fussy cut again until I get some good scissors. What brand do y'all use?

Here are the cards I'm talking about:

I find fussy cutting very relaxing. I use the Michaels brand "Recollection" small pair, nothing fancy. I find it easiest to cut with a small pair rather than a large pair for fussy cutting. My other tip - if you tend to cut stickers after you have removed the backing (because they are hanging over the edge), dedicate a pair to that task. They gum up fast! You can also clean the adhesive off with lemon oil.

I have stacked and I use foam tape as well. I tend to use foam just because it is faster.

I use a small pair of scissors as well. To be honest, I don’t even know the brand. They are light and get into the tiny spaces well. I also find the fussy cutting therapeutic. Lol!

I have only used stacking when I wanted to pop up and shape an element but still see the same element below it -- works well with flowers, for instance. This is a great idea for cards though, to make sure the popped-up elements stay popped up!

Thank y'all! I'm still in the market for tiny scissors for fussy cutting, and Bev @BevG that's a great tip. I've been struggling with my scissors for this very reason so I cleaned them with the oil and it worked like a charm. They have been designated as my craft scissors now!

I missed that you were hunting for small scissors.... my favorite small pair with extremely sharp and pointy tips are the cutter bee brand ones...

I have the Westcott Titanium Bonded Non-Stick Scissors (this link is for the 5") from Office Depot. I have the 7", but I think the 5" would be great for fussy cutting. It's been delightful to use them, especially on stickers and foam tape/squares. Also check on Amazon to compare prices. I had money to use from my Office Depot points, so that's why I purchased there.

Thank you, Karen @Karen and Cheryl @gonewiththewind! I'm heading to Amazon now as I tried another project last night and let's just say I'm not finding fussy cutting fun with my big pair of scissors! :P

I love the stacking, makes it so much more sturdier, and won't curl. I had CutterBee scissors.... they are still around my house somewhere since my scrapping days! :)

I just need to show you my scissors. I got it the first day of school in August 1980 and I still use it for all my fussy cutting. That is what I call quality, lol.

I use the Cutterbee ones too! I also have a smaller set that was branded by Cricut, but I don't like them as much. My Cutterbees are still going strong, though not 1980 strong! That's amazing!

Thanks y'all! I did order the Cutterbees and they have been working great. I still won't say I ENJOY fussy cutting, but I will say I hate it less with the right scissors :P

This amazes me - not that they lasted that long, but that you kept up with them that long!!!!
