Yippee! It's time for another batch of books to read together! We have another round of voting completed and we have another batch of great books to read together.

The book for July is Someone Else's Shoes by Jojo Moyes. Feel free to read our book club books in any order that you choose and when you've finished reading, come back here and tell us what you think. Please label spoilers. We have a new trick for hiding spoilers. Type whatever you want and then highlight the spoiler portion and click the + button above and select Spoiler. If that doesn't work (seems to be funky on Macs) just highlight your text and change the color to white >>>This is a super secret spoiler alert!<<< like I did right there.

    The chicken came first.

Just a note, anyone is welcome to join in with our book club reading at any time and join in the discussion! The more the merrier! :agree Happy reading!

This one came up in my library holds list a week+ ago. I did finish it yesterday. It was really just ok for me. I didn't love this one and I didn't hate it.

I think it tries to be too many things and doesn't really craft a great story in any one of those angles: mystery, remaking/exploring oneself, romance, family & friendships. In some ways it was just way too over the top on so many levels and a bit slap stick. However, it did wrap up nicely.

I finished this one about a week ago and forgot (as usual) to come back here and comment on it. Lol.

I loved the development of women friendships in this book.

There were a lot of rough situations for the characters and it was fun seeing them make their way through their obstacles with the help of their friends too. I loved the ending. Yes, it was a bit predictable... I didn't care one bit! It was still a fun read.

I enjoyed this one because I didn't have too many expectations for it!
I thought this was a good summer read. It was light enough to breeze through and had enough substance to not be too sappy. I enjoyed the female friendships and the found family.

    Love this one too!
A little far fetched and predictable, but a light fun read that wasn't about romance- sometimes nice to have those books! I loved the women friendships that shined throughout too!
