Today is National Ice Cream Day! I haven't had any today...we went out with the whole family on Friday and had some! Curious minds want to know 1. What's your favorite flavor of ice cream? 2. Do you go out for ice cream, keep it at home, or both? 3. Do you prefer something besides ice cream, like sorbet or custard? 4. Have you ever made homemade ice cream? 5. Do you like to have something with your ice cream or your ice cream in something like a float or shake?
1. What's your favorite flavor of ice cream? Mint Chocolate Chip 2. Do you go out for ice cream, keep it at home, or both? Mostly out...it gets eaten way to fast if I always have it here lol 3. Do you prefer something besides ice cream, like sorbet or custard? Frozen custard is our go-to place in town 4. Have you ever made homemade ice cream? My dad used to make homemade peach ice cream when we lived in Atlanta...it was amazing! I haven't tried for a very long time!! 5. Do you like to have something with your ice cream or your ice cream in something like a float or shake? I'm not a fan of floats, but I love a good chocolate/peanut butter shake!

Do you prefer something besides ice cream, like sorbet or custard? Love Sherbet, especially rainbow 4. Have you ever made homemade ice cream? Many, many, many years ago 5. Do you like to have something with your ice cream or your ice cream in something like a float or shake? I prefer Chocolate Ice Cream with Butterscotch topping. But I love chocolate shakes too. I have had 2 bowls of sherbet today. I have no ice cream in the house since I'm on a no chocolate diet these days. Any flavors of ice cream I would eat besides chocolate have chocolate of some kind in them so ice cream is out these days.
1. What's your favorite flavor of ice cream? Tillamook S’mores which I’m afraid is discontinued unfortunately. I also like cake batter, horchata, cinnamon, mint Oreo, and Rocky Road, just to name a few lol 2. Do you go out for ice cream, keep it at home, or both? Both! Though I do try to limit it in the house so I don’t eat it all for breakfast every day. 3. Do you prefer something besides ice cream, like sorbet or custard? I like them all, especially fruit sorbet, so it just depends on my mood. 4. Have you ever made homemade ice cream? Yes. I also just discovered that they sell a mix in a gallon jug and I need to buy it ASAP! 5. Do you like to have something with your ice cream or your ice cream in something like a float or shake? Not a big fan of floats because I don’t like soda/carbonation but shakes are always good, especially the thick ones!
1. What's your favorite flavor of ice cream? I love cookies and cream... and good old vanilla. 2. Do you go out for ice cream, keep it at home, or both? We keep these little ice creams at home... There are so many flavors/kinds, and I wait for them to go on sale, so instead of $6, they are $2.50. They are big enough to satisfy the craving, and small enough for the eat it... but trying not to eat everything in sight diet! 3. Do you prefer something besides ice cream, like sorbet or custard? I think I like it all, lol! 4. Have you ever made homemade ice cream? We have. It wasn't as good as the stuff from the store, or a shoppe... but it was an experience! 5. I don't think I've met ice cream that I didn't like (besides a non favorite flavor). Haha!

Do you prefer something besides ice cream, like sorbet or custard? I LOVE peach sorbet, but it's hard to find lately ... mango seems to have replaced it. I also love custard and occasionally sherbert, although my family mostly uses sherbert to make punch ... pour ginger ale or Sprite/7up over the sherbert in a punch bowl. 4. Have you ever made homemade ice cream? Nope. My grandmother gave me and my sisters a machine to make homemade ice cream one Christmas, but mom made it disappear before we ever got to use it. 5. I love Pepsi and chocolate ice cream floats, Root Beer floats are good too (chocolate or vanilla ice cream), but again I don't eat a lot of ice cream/sorbet/custard/sherbert due to the calories/sugar.

I got an ice cream maker last year for my birthday. 5. Do you like to have something with your ice cream or your ice cream in something like a float or shake? I prefer a warm brownie or a warm cookie with vanilla ice cream.

We have store bought stuff but I don't eat much of it. 3. Do you prefer something besides ice cream, like sorbet or custard? Nope - give me the heavy cream stuff! 4. Have you ever made homemade ice cream? Oh yes, but usually once or twice a summer. I just made: banana rum, banana peanut butter, fudge chocolate, oreo, mint oreo, and raspberry frozen yoghurt - because once the ice sludge in the maker is going, it is easy to throw in another kind. 5. Do you like to have something with your ice cream or your ice cream in something like a float or shake? Cook Out has 40 flavors of milk shakes and they are yummy!! President Joe Biden even stopped by for one when he was in the area.
1. What's your favorite flavor of ice cream? I don't have a favorite. Each time I have some, I decide what I'm in the mood for. In general, I like 'stuff' like nuts and chunks and swirls and, if it's a fruit flavor, actual pieces of fruit. 2. Do you go out for ice cream, keep it at home, or both? I will do both. But very infrequently, and I no longer want ice cream when it's not hot. 3. Do you prefer something besides ice cream, like sorbet or custard? I like ice cream the best. Of course, since 2004, it has had to be made of alternative milks, as I am lactose intolerant. I prefer nut milks the most for ice cream but coconut milk seems to be the most popular, which I don't mind but I think the nut milks are heartier or something. Hard to explain. Ben & Jerry's dairy free are the best, but many others are coming along. 4. Have you ever made homemade ice cream? Yes, I have. In fact, an ice cream maker is one of the few gifts we still have from our 1996 wedding. 5. Do you like to have something with your ice cream or your ice cream in something like a float or shake? Not anymore. Just eating straight out of a pint carton (wrapped in a towel to keep my hand from freezing) works for me!

Do you prefer something besides ice cream, like sorbet or custard? My local grocery store (Meijer) has a super yummy peach yogurt ice cream that I love! 4. Have you ever made homemade ice cream? We made it a couple of times as kids and them my MIL made it a couple of times when we were camping with her. It's so creamy and good, but takes SO long! Lol. 5. I do love Chick-Fil-A mint chip shakes at Christmastime and their Peach shakes in the summer. I haven't had a peach one yet this summer though. I need to fix that!

Most of my family except me and my oldest daughter are lactose intolerant so that is good to have this ice cream at home. 2. Do you go out for ice cream, keep it at home, or both? Mostly home. 3. Ice-crea is ok, but not really something I'd buy for myself or turn to when I'm sad... my favorite way to eat ice-cream is a scoop of vanilla ice-cream in a coffee cup microwaved for 20 seconds...

I don't often get it anymore b/c I'm on a low carb plan but sometimes I will purchase store bought LC ice cream but it is a bit higher carb than I usually consume. Sometimes for a treat though. 3. Do you prefer something besides ice cream, like sorbet or custard? Nothing beats ice cream. 4. Have you ever made homemade ice cream? No, but have thought about it. 5. Do you like to have something with your ice cream or your ice cream in something like a float or shake? In a cone or in a dish, its all good
