Today is National Splurge Day! I don't think I'll be doing any splurging at all today! Graduation and birthdays have me pretty broke lol. My last splurge was a Macbook Air for Chance as a combo birthday/graduation gift. Best Buy was running a great sale on them and I wanted him to have something he could use in college. Other than that, it's a splurge for me if I order a large drink from the fast food places instead of small or medium. I am a cheapskate lol Are you planning on splurging on anything soon? If not, what was your latest splurge? Also, Happy Father's Day to all the Lilypad Dads out there!!
My latest splurge was here at Lilypad. Meantbto spend 15 dollar ... ended up spending a bit over 30. LOL No more splurging for me for a while. But it was worth it!
We splurged on food at Disneyland recently and it was delicious. We were just sat there was no lobster mac. I plan on splurging on my favorite cookie as soon as it’s back on the menu near me.
I stayed in the Westin Seaport District in Boston over Memorial Day weekend. It was a much fancier hotel than I would normally use; definitely a splurge. But I had earned hotels.com credit to spend, so that helped. They are very generous with food vouchers for the in hotel restaurants, which had yummy vegan options, and I enjoyed the view of the city lights from my window each evening. I also loved walking from the hotel to Fanueil Marketplace, the Freedom Trail, Boston Common, and all around town. Definitely worth it!
Sounds like a great splurge to me!! Digi supplies are a fabulous splurge! Yup, food at parks like that is definitely a splurge, but so good!! Oh fun!! I have a kit someone gave me that I have not even opened. I need to do that!! Awesome!! What a fabulous splurge!! Ohhh that sounds amazing!!! What a great splurge!!!
Um, we bought a new Honda CRV about a month ago. LOL Our old minivan was turning into a money pit with repairs, and we've got a family road trip coming up in August. No way we are squeezing into a little car for that many days. The trip itself will also be a little bit of a splurge for us. We upgraded most of the hotel rooms we booked to be able to sleep the four of us more comfortably.
I splurged on a pair of new walking shoes this weekend. My old ones were memory foam that had long since worn out and my feet would hurt after going on walks. I tested them out yesterday on 3 miles walk and they were amazing! My hubby convinced me to go to the local running store and buy "good" (AKA expensive) shoes, but man they were worth it! I hope they stay comfy for a good long time though!
I splurged on a new iPhone for my grandson (high school grad gift) and this coming weekend I'm hosting a 50th b'day party for my son ... things got a little out of hand and I ended up renting a moon bounce; a tent (canopy to provide shade), tables and chairs; plus I'm having most of the food catered. Now I'm just praying for dry weather this week.
My husband retired end of March and we have been splurging ever since. Or at least that is how it feels and what my Visa bill reflects. Mostly meals and travel expenses - been on 3 trips so far and have 3 more planned for this summer.
My last really big splurge was my car 15 months ago with all the bills & whistles like @LoveItScrapIt. But, I am having some landscaping done this summer and that will be my next splurge. Hopefully, this will be the last of the big expenses on landscaping.
