What are you watching these days? | Pad Patter 05.20.23

I binged the diplomat over just a couple of days. I loved it. I also liked Pine Gap. Both on Netflix. On AppleTV I thought Shrinking was fun. I also have liked Will Trent on ABC (should be on Hulu). I’ll be watching this thread for others.

 

I watched the first season of You and couldn't look away but I have not felt the desire to get pulled back into that world for subsequent seasons. "New" is kind of hard to define but Ted Lasso might be my favorite new show of the last few years and I really like Shrinking and Only Murders in the Building. I also started Abbott Elementary and am really enjoying that one. Oh and I got completely sucked in by Ginny and Georgia for a while. The Watcher is new and is totally addictive. I need to watch the new season of Outer Banks (kinda YA but still fun) and my daughter told me there's a new season of Queer Eye. So not sure which of those count as new to you but they are new-ish.

 

My daughter and I are totally into Yellowjackets on Showtime.

My husband and I are watching White House Plumbers on HBO.

 

I love Will Trent!

 

I just saw first season of Star Trek - Strange New Worlds again before the new season is coming.

 

7 episodes of "The last thing he told me." ( more like a long movie than a series , really good )
watched " Grace " and the new season of "The unforgotten " ( both British short series)
I think there are 2 different series of the Diplomat ? I British 1 American , I am watching the British one
If all else fails, there is always Father Brown LOL

 

I am no help! I am feeling the same way! Where are all the show? I think I might go back and watch Boston Legal (again!!)...LOL.

Lisa, I like 9-1-1: Lone Star with Rob Lowe.. now in it's 4th season on FOX.. don't know if they have it to binge on it, but if they do you should check it out.

I am also rewatching Outlander.. I like Queen Charlotte, but it is a bit different from Bridgerton. I like a lot of the British shows on Netflix and YouTube

 

Started binging on season 2 of Sweettooth on Netflix, 1 more episode left to watch. After that, I'm gonna start watching Queen Charlotte (a Bridgerton Story)

 

I loved the second season of Sweet Tooth.

 

I don't watch broadcast t.v, don't have cable (and don't want it) and haven't been interested in movies much in years, but I watch YouTube everyday and follow some channels regularly. These are some of my favorites.

https://www.youtube.com/@Thoughty2 A great storyteller, his stories are sometimes unsolved mysteries, sometimes horrifying, sometimes just amazing historical incidents.
https://www.youtube.com/@tylerandtodd I started watching them for their RV travels, and because they are a sweet couple who are a lot of fun to watch, but they don't travel much since the pandemic. Now they are building a cabin in the woods in Nova Scotia.

https://www.youtube.com/@ed.winters A wonderfully compassionate vegan advocate. I'm vegan first for my health, second for the environment, but only just started learning about the ethics of it in the last couple of years, and Ed has been one of my strongest influences there.
https://www.youtube.com/@NotJustBikes A man who grew up in Canada, traveled a bit and then settled in the Netherlands because they are one of the best places for pedestrians and bicyclists instead of having the car focus we have in North America.
