Any old shows you went back and binged long after everyone else?

I FINALLY watched all of Breaking Bad. But, I have no one to compare notes with because everyone else saw it like a million years ago. :giggle

Any shows you missed the first time around that you've gone back to watch long after everyone else? Do you think you enjoy them less because all there isn't really a cultural buzz going on about them? Or already know the ending (which I kind of did about Breaking Bad)?

I watch the Dr Who series' 1-2 years after they are shown due to not having a TV. I get them for my birthday after they are available on DVD.
I recently got some NCIS DVDs from a charity shop - the first 3 series. Joy and I have enjoyed watching those, apparently it's on series 20 now.

This is every show for me haha I like watching them after everyone stops talking about them but only if there aren't huge spoilers that ruin it for me.

I was super late to The Walking Dead. I tried it a couple of times and just couldn't get in to it, but I finally tried it one las time and got hooked. It wasn't over, but I think they were on season 9 maybe when I started at the beginning.
Also Criminal Minds. It wasn't over, but I think they were on like season 12 or 13 when I started it.

    ALL THE TIME!
The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmitt: i watched last year.
Game of Thrones: I didn't start watching until the season before the last.
The Good Place: I started last month and finished.
I like watching shows when they are over because I don't have to wait until the next time they are on in order to find out what happens, lol.

I watched How I Met Your Mother long after everyone else. I didn't finish it though. It was too much in the end for me. Superstore I started late, but I think I finished it with everyone else.

But there's a ton that I watched late, just debatable on whether they were popular!
Rizzoli & Isles, Bull, The Good Wife,
I have a habit of starting a series, then getting distracted, and coming back and finishing it way later!

I occasionally give these a go but for some reason don't get very far. I do like them though!

I did this with a bunch of series, last year for example I started and finished The Sopranos and also Line of duty.
I also started and finished How I met your mother and modern family in the last years, I had never seen those before, every person on the planet were talking about it and I lost interest...I watched many years later and I liked it!

Started watching the Neighborhood, the show is not anything special but the cast makes it worthwhile. We're on season 1 of 5. We watched Mandalorian after it aired but before season 2 started. We are hooked.

We watched The Office long after it aired and still enjoy watching reruns when I catch them on the air.

We watched Only Murders in the Building just before S2 came out b/c so many raved about it. We really like this one.

One of these days I want to binge How I Met Your Mother.

Lol.... me with every other show I guess... but the one I remember being late for was The Big Bang Theory... At some point I realized everyone knew who Sheldon was while I was totally clueless... So I watched it and liked it...

I haven't watched Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Line of Duty, Gilmore Girls... I DID watch Desperate Housewives though together with everyone else... and Beverly Hills 90210 before that... Life's got busy, I guess...

We watched the Sopranos after it was over, so we felt the same way about not having anyone to talk to about it since everyone we knew had already watched it. Lol.

I binged Gilmore Girls a few years ago, I had never watched it. I'm currently binge-watching Grey's Anatomy. I'd watched a season or two in the beginning, but stopped watching for reason now unknown. I'm up to Season 7.

I watched Friends about four years ago; I started it right after I finished The West Wing. Then I watched Parenthood and I tried The Crown (I stopped in the middle of season 3 or 4), but I don't like the Netflix interface and rarely go over there when I'm watching TV. (All Netflix)

I'm currently watching This is Us (I just started season 3) and Veronica Mars (midway through season 1). (Hulu)

I also just finished Fresh Off the Boat and recently started Modern Family. I did watch Modern Family when it first aired for about two seasons or so, and quit; I started at the beginning and am about halfway through season 2. (Hulu)

I'm caught up on Fantasy Island and I think that's the only show I watch as it airs. (Hulu)

I'm semi-caught up on Outlander (Starz); I kept up until The Ballad of Roger Mac, when I eventually gave up on it. I started back at the beginning a few months ago after my reread of Book 2; I just finished season 3.

(I started rereading the Outlander books when the last one -- Bees -- came out. After I finished book 2, I decided I was far enough ahead to start watching the series again. Now I'm alternating between them, which means I just finished TV season 3, will be starting book 5 soon, and will start season 4 tv after I finish the book. I'm watching This is Us and Veronica Mars in the meantime, until I'm finished with the book and ready to watch the next season.)

I enjoy listening to podcast hosts Mary and Blake Larsen, so part of my show choices are based on the shows they review. I listen to their Outlander Cast and This is Us Too podcasts; it's fun to hear their discussions about the episodes. They are community oriented, so they also read feedback and play voicemails of other watchers. I don't get to participate, since it's so long ago, but I can hear about what was buzzy when they first aired.
