Howdy everyone! We are just starting a speed scrap in the chat room. I'll be posting the steps here too. ----------- Please post your completed layout in The Lilypad gallery. GALLERY RULES: Layouts must contain at least 50% TLP products (Templates count as 15%). Uploads must be less than 250k. List all credits; no off-site linking allowed. ----------- STEPS: ONE – Start with one photo and place it very close to the edge on any side of your layout (right, left, top or bottom). Add a white stroke border AND one paper mat piece of paper under the photo. TWO – On the opposite side of your layout, we are going to create a cluster near the opposite edge. Your design elements are either going to be placed side to side or from top to bottom. To start the cluster, add at least three elements THREE – Add any background paper that you like. Then, add one bit of doodle and/or paint under each grouping so far (1 cluster and one photo area) FOUR – Add one piece of washi tape and one bit of nature (like a leaf) to each grouping area. FIVE – Add at least one element on top of your photo. SIX – Tuck one word bit into one grouping. You may also add a title to the opposite grouping, but it’s not required. SEVEN – Add a bit of journaling anywhere on your page and add a date. Your layout must be posted to the forum by 5:00 pm ET today in order to earn a fun prize. Please post to the Speed Scraps Gallery and then come post your layout here too. ETA: Here's the awesome layout I used as inspiration for these steps:
My apologies Karen, my keyboard stopped working and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Who knew a wireless keyboard has batteries? lol Thanks for the chat, I admit, I loosely interpreted your directions. Such as the white thin frame on top of my OOTB frame. That is my white stroke on my photo. lolol
Thanks for everyone who played along and for the fun chat yesterday! I kinda liked the Sunday speed scrap time slot! It was fun to chat with a couple people that normal can't make my evening time slots! I added the inspiration layout to the original post too!
I didn't follow all the instructions but I did use them for loose inspiration for this page! Thanks for the fun chat!
