Any fun weekend plans? We are heading to a Van Gogh interactive exhibit on Saturday. But other than Battlebots and church, nothing else on the list.

How about you? Are you doing anything this weekend?

Jazz band fundraiser with the oldest tonight, then tomorrow is chess club for the youngest and musical rehearsal and archery competition for the oldest. I'm going to a local comedy show with my BFF and hubby is making dinner. Then church for all of us on Sunday, followed by board games and family movie night since we're all spread out Fri/Sat, which is when we'd normally do it.

@bestcee I'm curious what you think.... I've been seeing that teased to be coming to Des Moines, but no dates yet. It looks great!

I've seen some pics and short videos of the Van Gogh exhibit and I think it's so cool. Can't wait to see your pics @bestcee

Today is my hubby's birthday. He is on weekend duty, though, so we'll likely just order pizza tonight. Tomorrow night we're going to my mom's for a birthday dinner for both Jay's and Olivia's birthday. They requested roast, mashed potatoes, zipper peas, and yeast rolls, with plain pound cake for dessert. I'm so looking forward to my mom's cooking!

Sunday, we are free, so I hope I get some reading time in.

Normal weekend chores, plus I need to start on our tax returns. Plan on doing my daughter's and granddaughter's this weekend b/c they are the easiest. Will is still waiting on a W-2, never mind that they should have been mailed out by January 31st ... we went though this last year too. And mine is complicated due to the K-1s I receive, so I'm procrastinating doing it.

I'm also hoping to start scanning mine and my daughter's film photos.

For about 30 sec I read that as you are going to a comedy show with your boyfriend and your hubby is making dinner. I was confused for a hot minute!

I hope you get to laugh a lot at the show and yay! for no dinner duty!

@norton94 And @gonewiththewind I'll totally share my thoughts and photos! It'll be interesting since all 4 of us are going and it's Sharon's first big walking thing since her surgery. She's recovered wonderfully.

Ugh. Yeah, I need to do this. For us and Sharon. And we bought a house, she sold one, so it should be interesting. I've been putting it off!

No real plans today. I had a pretty horrible couple of days earlier in the week after being accidentally glutened so I was out of commission for 36-48 hours. Yesterday I spent the day cleaning and I received my new PC. Still have to put it together yet but I still haven’t quite finished cleaning and moving boxes into a different room yet to do that (I have boxes of household stuff for when I move that I’ve been slowly buying but those boxes are in my room at the moment). Family need to clear space in the spare bedroom before I can move anything in there so that is tomorrow’s task (they’re at work today). Once my PC is set up I need to do one job application - I may do it on my laptop today but I’d rather not. Hopefully the set up of my PC doesn’t take too long.

Looking forward to hearing how you like it, Jennifer!

My sister is flying into town tonight and we are going to the Innings Music Festival. Headliners are the Foo Fighters.

*Sigh* I'm working. I have a bunch of paperwork to get started on this weekend. It's IEP season and I honestly just don't have the time during the school day to get it all done. I may or may not have the two teen granddaughters tomorrow night for a sleepover. DS and DIL are supposed to be going to a formal military dinner out of town.
I also need to get the house clean, laundry done, and finish up our taxes. Good times!

Currently watching a movie with the fam. It's our usual Friday night family movie.

Tomorrow I just have to make some food for my sister who had surgery and is out of commission for a while. Some of our kids have plans with friends. So we'll probably end up doing some yard work, and hopefully, they'll be some time for scrapping and reading for me!

Sunday is church, with a usual rest time in the afternoon, and then music/band practice and dinner and Bible Study with some young adults.

Nothing planned over here besides the normal running around I do every weekend. Hubby has to work tomorrow. I'm hoping I can do some cleaning around the house tomorrow and get some scrapping time in!

My sister's family was on vacation in Florida, and tomorrow they're stopping by for lunch as they drive through our area on their way home. Not sure what else we'll do tomorrow. Sunday I usually do the reading and homework for my grad school class, so DH and the kids will probably just amuse themselves here at home.

I'll get some photos up later, but we enjoyed it! It was a really unique experience to have the art all around you and moving on the wall. The 11 year old thought it was very cool and didn't press us once to move on. He even pulled out his phone and took some video because he wanted to send it to his friend to see. The 73 year old was also similarly enthralled. She took out her phone and snapped a photo. The last photo prior to that one was a Christmas one, to give you an idea of the rarity. I kept moving around to check out the different ways they highlighted Van Gogh, like the hallway with real photos of the things he painted with the paintings on the end. The quotes. etc. We checked out other parts of the museum, included in our ticket, but I think the family would have been happy had we just seen the Van Gogh part. In fact, both the 11 and 73 year old weren't too excited to see the rest of the museum. They were good to go home after Van Gogh.
