Welcome to day 30 of MOC - January 30 Create a Scrapbook Album Cover It's day 30, you have nearly made it! My challenge and then only one more challenge to go. I don't know whether you start an album by creating a cover page or wait until it's all done and then make a cover page. Hopefully it's not too early in 2022 or too late after 2021. My challenge is for you to create an scrapbook album cover, or photobook cover. (paper clips, staples, button, stitching) Special Rules for this challenge: 1. A title: You must make it obvious what the cover is for (mine is 2022), vacation, a trip to Disney, all about me, etc. 2. This should be a photo-less page 3. At least 4 "attacher" style elements; think paper clips, stitching, buttons, staples, brads etc. 4. Please make note of attachers. 4 staples in 1 png = 1 attacher, 4 single staples = 4 attachers (although 4 different kinds would be nice to see) 5. Templates may be used. 6. If you have any questions - please tag me @Eyeore My example: Everyday life 2020 (bulldog clip, stitching, eyelet, brad) An example: Documenting December (staples, 2 different brads, & bow) Some Polly examples: ~Iowan. In addition to the individual rules for this challenge, please follow our overall guidelines: Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places: Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site). Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. Posted in this thread. People can comment here if they wish. Your page must contain Lilypad product (pages with photos and font only do not count). If you use product from other stores, your pages must contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers).
Post reserved for Q and A's 1. Scrapbook album not necessarily a record album 2. Scraplifting is totally acceptable 3. Yes washi and tape is considered an attacher style element. 4. No attachers don't have to be used to attach things, they may be decorative. My paper clips lie over paper not over and under for example. 5. Yes a QR code is acceptable.
@Pachimac You could design it like a record album cover - in that it would have a title and be photo-less, just add attachers. I tweaked the wording so hopefully it reads better now.
2022-30-MOC-Challenge-Album Cover Such a cool idea, I did mine using an 8.5X11 cover, so I could put a cover on my calendar and have a memory book. I usually have a few photos of each month, so they make great memory books. Attachments: on the 2021, I have a paperclip, staples, stick pin, stitching, I also have numerous staples throughout the page and I a stamp, safety pin. Credits are in gallery. Thank you!
@Eyeore can we scraplift one of the examples above? I LOVE the first one with the paper strips on the bottom! I can use many sheets of loud patterned paper, which is my fave! Edited: I kind of lifted the layout I liked but mine is not as good My fasteners are tape, staples, snap, and stitches
2 tape - on pennant 1 safety pin -on journal paper 1 brad - journal card 1 star - pacifier 1 flower -onesie
As I have shared in the gallery. I hope to soon be putting together and getting printed my album about my childhood. I have been working on pages for the last few years so I think it time I put it all together. 4 required items..... stitching, brad, button and paper clip
Thank you Stefanie for hosting! Attachers: wooden nailheads on all the numbers (2 per number total =24) and 4 single staples for button strings and 1 double staple on quote strip
oh wow! At one moment I really thought I would not finish MOC, but I'm now at day 30!!! Thanks for this challenge! I was not sure about it, because my cover is always a picture of the two boys, but I looked for some larger event (a vacation) and will love to add it into the album! 5 years ago and for some reason I still know in which house (I think it's called a trailer) we were sleeping. Fastener, (on sticker) knot of string, frame with staple, different staples, staple with fabric, lots of stitching Kristin Aagard Artsy
