Hi, Patsy here welcoming in October – my favorite month with its gorgeous fall colors, sweater weather, pumpkins and harvest decorations appearing in the neighborhood and the many delights of this month. One of my favorite challenges is a scraplift and that’s what we are doing here this month. Lynn Grieveson’s designs make my heart sing and her personal layouts always both amaze and teach me. So, this month let’s scraplift a layout from Lynn’s personal gallery here: Gallery for user: LynnG | The Lilypad (the-lilypad.com) Since I love Lynn’s travel layouts, I chose this one to scraplift: And here's my scraplift: Challenge rules: Your page must contain 75% or more of Lynn Grieveson’s products sold here at The Lilypad. Layouts must be new for this challenge and cannot be combined with other challenges. Please upload to Lynn's gallery at The LilyPad following the gallery posting rules. Link your gallery image to this thread and also show a thumbnail of Lynn’s layout which you are lifting. You have from now until the 31th of October (midnight EST) to create your layout. I’m looking forward to seeing your creations. If you have any questions, just tag me @flowersgal. Here is Lynn's layout that I scraplifted: And here is mine with a link back to the gallery & credits:
When I looked through the gallery I saw 2 things that showed up more than once: circle photos and top borders. I wanted to find a layout that I liked, that had those to elements. Hence I chose to lift this layout: Not sure how much of it that's still there, but here's what I ended up with:
Here's Lynn's layout that I decided to lift. Here's my take: I used the same technique of blending a large photograph and placed it into the front of my layout. I used Lynn's Wild & Free Kit + Extras.
What a wonderful challenge. Thank you for the inspiration. Here's the page I chose and here is my rendition - inspired by a quote I came upon when searching for the one to use for the TLP journaling challenge this month (no double dipping here, I ended up using a different one for that challenge).
