Hello and Welcome to today's LEAP technique Slow Scrap
    Also.....Merry Christmas-in-July

This month we have discussed 2 techniques....use and manipulations of shadows and selective color. SEE HERE

We are going to use both for the slow scrap and since it's Christmas-in-July, we will also add a bit of cheer.
    **********

Please post your completed layout in The Lilypad gallery. GALLERY RULES: Layouts must contain at least 50% TLP products. (Templates count as 15%.) Uploads must be less than 250k. List all credits; no off-site linking allowed. Add your LO to this thread. You have 24 hours to complete your LO. LOs are due by July 29, 12pm Eastern.

    **********

    INSTRUCTIONS:

*1. Choose a photo that has something prominent in RED OR GREEN....it DOES NOT have to be Christmas-related. You will be turning the photo into a Black and White photo with the RED/GREEN object in color.
    2. Add this photo to a blank canvas...any size LO works but the background must be WHITE (ie: NO background paper). You can use a mask on your photo or brush out parts of it....or manipulate the photo in any way you would like, as long as I can tell that your photo uses selective color.
    3. ***OPTIONAL*** Add a photo mat, patterned paper, JC or tag behind the photo or somewhere on the page.
    4. Add a cluster of elements with at least 3 items
    5. Add a title and date (feel free to add additional elements here - ie...a date tag or word art title). Feel free to add journaling.
*6. For at least ONE element/paper/tag/etc....you must clearly alter the shadow in some way, so that I can tell it is altered.

*Starred items are what I'm looking for in this scrap...other than that, create a LO you love*

BONUS*****I made a little video tutorial for altering a shadow to create a Christmas Ornament.

PSE users can watch this video by Cheryl of Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs to learn how to separate shadows to their own layer.

Well, I wish I hadn't had to work when the chat was on, cus I am still confused about the shadowing stuff. Maybe I have done it, and just don't realize it. I tried on the Queen....wordart, Great Body wordart, the hanging dice. I will keep trying though.
And thanks for the video links.

Thank you for the slow scrap.
I manipulated the shadows of the stamp, flower and leaf.
I used a stock photo because I didn't have the time to search for one of mine. I hope it's ok.
