What is your go-to favorite item when you scrap out of a kit?

I've been on a paper kick this weekend, so mine is papers.

    What's yours?

Solid papers. I use them as a foundation and then add in a few patterned papers on banners and tags and such. I love Amy Wolff's Mega Solids Paper Packs (here is Vol.6). I have all of them! Also neutrals -> I seem to use Allison Pennington's Subfloors Vol.2 on just about every page. :)

I'd have to say papers... I use a lot of SWL templates and just clip the papers to the shapes on the templates.... including titles on some of them.

    After that it is flowers.

Besides paper I go to frames and background paint(s) or splatter(s)!

I’d say paint, stitching and word art or alphas make it on to most pages. I went through a patch where it seemed like I used Allison’s alpha pack on most layouts.

I like strings, threads, stitches - they just really add a little something extra to a page.

I love to have word strips, flowers, scatters of sequins or beads or paper confetti.

I've been frequently using a similar alpha from CD recently. Love how small the letters are in both of these packs!

Patterned papers. Florals, stripes, plaids, polka dots (I especially love small dots that make me think of dotted Swiss fabric), maps, clouds, vintage wallpaper, theme-y patterns for seasons and holidays ... I could never be a minimalist, clean-and-simple scrapper because I love patterned papers too much!

i'm usually sucked in by element packs but mostly wordart because i can't always think of a title or know where to start with a gazillion photos but wordart kick starts me
