@jang you can use a soft round brush with color set to white and on a new layer just paint the highlight on the top left and then reduce opacity of the layer.

Ok, I admit, I got a bit carried away and obliviated the clear part of the globe in that you can't see all the way through it, LOL but it was a FUN challenge!

Ok Justine, this is fabulous, but there is no way I can work on this technique right now. But I PROMISE, I am putting it on my list for August and I WILL make a snow globe. Your tutorial is amazing and I have several ideas already - just no time.

 

Thank you so much, it was a lot of fun. It is a bit flat, but I am happy with it, considering I didn't have a lot of time to really fiddle with the settings on it ( but I will later ) I used to have a snow globe that I had made in Craft artist , but I lost it when my computer crashed. Now I am going to persevere and make myself a proper template in PSE.

 

@bellbird Justine, this was a real challenge to me,wow!! My globe doesn't look so fancy, because I was almost blind looking at my computer screen! anyway, thanks for the challenge, I loved to learn something new!!

 

This doesn't do yours justice Justine but I tried very hard! Thanks for the challenge! I'm determined to figure out how to make mine look better!
