This was a fun challenge! I used overlay blend mode to lighten the vellum and make it less distracting. Hope that is ok.

I created my own vellum.

 

I don't think I have used vellums before - that's what I love about the MOC I learn and try out so many new things

 

I've never really done this - I like it. It was especially great for this grainy photo that I wanted to still scrap! Thanks for the creative challenge!

Here's my take! Thanks for a fun challenge!

 

Talk about making extra work for yourself! I used a photo for the background and then repeated it in a smaller size on the page with vellum over it. it wasn't until I uploaded it that I slapped my forehead and told myself ... one photo!!!
@Sokee I saw that you had left a comment on the original page (thank you) but, unfortunately, I didn't see the comment before I deleted the layout.

 

I Have To Say That This Challenge Was A Lot Of Frustration For Me...I Don't Use Vellum...[Not Digital Vellum]...I Used Vellum Years Ago On Paper...I Looked Through My Digital Stash & I Couldn't Find Anything...I Tried To Create My Own..That Didn't Turn Out So Well...I Don't Know Why But I Looked In A Different Folder & Found 1 Vellum Paper...After That Madness Ensued...I Tried Everything & I Couldn't Get It To Work In My Program...I Went To Gimp...I Recently Acquired This Program On Line For Another Challenge...It Took Me A Long Time To Figure Out How To Work With The Vellum...But Eventually I Finally Figured It Out...Yikes!...That Was Really Exhausting...In The End I Am Mostly Happy With The Result...But I Guess I Learned Something New...Eventhough...It Took Way Too Long To Get There...I Really Am Exhausted!...Ironically My Layout Is About The Wonder Of Happiness...I Have To Laugh!...
