I'll give it a try--36 hours sounds doable.

Hmmm - I always felt like the time limit was stressful, but now 36 items sound even more stressful! However, I will give it a try!. I've been away from scrapping challenges for a while, but it's time to jump back in!

I'm not sure which is more stressful ... MIS or 36 items! well, I'll give it a try. Is there still a twist involved??

What a fun and DIFFERENT challenge. It was good for me to be forced to use printed paper photo mats...and tape. I seldom use either.

    Here we go...

    Instructions
Because the template is your choice, the only way I will know if you participated is if you link your layout in this thread or within the SwL Group Facebook Album. To qualify, post your layout to the gallery or hosting site of your choice* and then paste the image and link here by 7 am ET Monday to qualify. You can make your layout yours; add items and design as you like, as long as, you follow the instruction(s) below.

    THE 36
12 Lines of journaling (must be at least 15 characters per line and titles and dates do not count as lines)
    06 Stars
03 Photo corners (black triangles used to secure photos in albums)
    03 Photos
03 Patterned-paper mats (background paper does not count as a mat)
03 Pieces of the same tape
    03 Staples
03 Buttons/brads (those as the center of an element such as a flower count towards the three)

To total to 36 and not go over, the counts above should be 'exactly' and not considered 'at least'. Therefore, you can only have 6 stars (combination of elements, patterns on paper, stamped, etc) in total and no more.

*Posting Notice: To upload your layout into the TLP gallery it must follow TLP gallery posting requirements.

Calling Time: We will not be calling time at the end of the challenge. To qualify you layout must be posted in this thread before the end of the challenge. Post time, specifically the last time the post was modified, will be used to determine qualification; therefore do not edit your post once the challenge is completed.

Announcing the Winner: The winner will be announced within seven days of the end of the challenge in this thread.

I will be here for the first 30 minutes of the challenge to answer questions and then will check back periodically. Use @tpbuffy when you type your question so I know its there. Good luck!!!

@tpbuffy I'm confused. What in the world is a patterned paper mat? I don't think I've ever seen one in a kit.

3 photo corners or 3 sets of photo corners?

And do they specifically have to be black or can we make them any color?

look at the sample layout - the blue check, yellow polka dot and green zigzag are mats - patterned paper cut smaller than the full layout that serves as a mat to something else (typically a photo but can be anything)
