Wow! This was way harder than I expected! But, I'm happy with it Off to a GREAT Month of Challenges

Oh my stars, I don't think I've ever had more of a struggle right out of the gate. Not only am I a day late, I was a dollar short when I realized I forgot one very simple part of the recipe. I neglected to note that the photo had to be centered - I only realized it when I was copying the recipe into my post. The good news is it was a relatively quick and easy fix. The bad news is I'm tired and frustrated and haven't even started thinking about day 2.

And all this because I got a wild hair to made a sequel to my first page from last year's MOC. Sheesh.

So anyway, day 1 is done. Whee!



The particulars:

1 photo, centered on the page
2 distinct frames
3 ribbon or bows: black ribbon and gold ribbon on the text frame, gold bow on photo frame
4 papers, all layered under your photo: black and gold directly under photo/frame, and the cream paper in the text frame, which is layered under the photo, background paper under it all.
5 flowers
6 leaves and/or branches: 2 each of the white leaves under 3 of the flowers for a total of 6
7 lines of journaling: definitely not seven sentences but more than seven lines, especially if you include the date and title.
8 additional elements of your choice: black lace underneath everything; stitches on text frame; tag; button on tag; heart under the gold bow on the photo frame; heart, flame, and bee on the text paper.

 

Somehow Day 1 took 2 days to finish--I need to get back into the MOC flow and work a lot faster!
