We adopted two Jack Russell/Chihuahua boy puppies last Friday, and we haven't had much sleep, and I've never seen more poop in my life. LOL - anyways - I went to read the blog today and it was all about the last day of MOC - and I actually CRIED reading it. Both this year and last year, I never wanted MOC to end. There's something special about it. Yes, we have challenges every month, and yes, there is still such beauty in the gallery, and amazing kits to drool over, but there's just something that makes MOC and the entire feeling at TLP to be different... Am I just REALLY tired, or does anyone else feel this way too?
I get that - been feeling the weight of it the last few days. I really am looking forward to having more time to work on pieces - not to mention get back to what I should be doing - but yeah. There's something about MOC that sparks. Or just sparks me, whatever. I'm going to wake up Friday a sad blueberry. Assuming I'm actually done on time
I'm not sure that I'll be sad, but for sure, a let-down. I wonder what in the world I'll do with my time? Please, let it not be cleaning my house! LOL! And as far as tired, I'm always tired. These days I average 4-5 hours of sleep. I've been told it is hormones... P.S. Two puppies in the house! OMG! I bet they are adorable. And they might be making you tired. I can't imagine.
I keep wondering what I am going to do with myself come February. This MOC has been the best I have taken part in so far and I have loved having a challenge to look forward to each day. A new technique or just hanging out with the peeps commenting on layouts and enjoying the comments I have received. I can't imagine all the tallying up that will happen once the time is up, and the checking process commences.
I have always felt that way... just start in on the monthly challenges.. do 1 per day.. that will get you through Feb 7 or 8th, and then continue doing the designer challenges 1 per day February is a short month doing those challenges 1 per day should at least get you half way through the month with challenges
OMG! You adopted TWO!!!! pups and they are Chihuahua JRT mixes! You can just forget about sleep FOR YEARS!!! LOL!!! Congrats, really. I have a terrier mix and love it (?) when she wakes me at 4 AM to go out to potty! But I wouldn't trade her for the world!
I'll be sad to see MOC finish, I have had an amazing time, and the gallery is such a lovely place to be at anytime, but now it is really bubbling! I like Christa's idea to get us through February. I also make a photobook (no scrapping) for each year, and that I will start doing in February. Plus I promised my Mum's neighbour knitted hats for her boys, about time I finished them too! Oops!
I get it, it’s going to feel so weird on Friday not not rush to check the challenge of the day. I’m hooked and will be sticking around and definitely doing MOC again in future years.
I'm sure you are tired with the two new puppies. But, I'm quite sad that it's almost over, too. I've looked forward every day to seeing what new challenge would be posted and now we're on the next to the last one. I've got a busy February coming up, but I'll miss these daily challenges, nonetheless. Just keep telling yourself that the puppies will grow out of this...…………………………..eventually. I never had two at the same time, but I remember telling mine that it was a good thing they were so cute.
Yep - lucky they're cute! https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10218515806228597 Can you see that? It's them actually NOT sparring!!
O.M.G. Adorable puppies!!! I always have such a hard time bouncing back to scrap in February after more than a layout a day in January. I feel like it burns me out. lol I still have yesterday's challenge to do. Paper to digi! So I have to find my lift page! Gah!!! I have also had kids home the last three days and one more tomorrow. The dog and the kids have the wiggles. So I just need to get 'er done!
They're SO cute!! How do you get anything done??? I mean besides picking up the poo?? I would be loving on them all day.
thanks for the video. They are darling! They look like they are sharpening those puppy teeth. I remember getting my first Yorkie a baby's teething ring when she was in this stage!
I went to bed every night checking the forum on my phone to hope that the challenge was posted early, and I woke up every day checking the forum soon as my eyes opened to read what the challenge was. Not sure what I'll do with all this extra time every day now. haha
