@Pachimac Which one? I know some people open two separate pages and use the windows feature in PSCC. I do the blue line, 12x24 layout
I love the technique challenges- it's fun to learn something new. I think my least favorite are photoless or clean & simple! So outside of my wheelbox!
I just open 2 pages and then view the tiffs in file explorer when I am done. That and I have started not being picky about things lining up or matching so much.
I am not a fan of double pages at all. Last year, I don't recall that there was one... For the dispersion one last year, my main pic was a chicken. I used a butterfly brush, but I used it at the back end of it. The chicken looked like it was recovering from a bad meal. LOL. I don't remember the stained glass one. What year was it? My nightmare from last year was to create a mood board and then to create a layout around it. Two challenges rolled into one. It took me forever.
For all the cussing I really did learn a lot of new things, so I still count it as a win And honestly, I am looking forward to what you'll throw at us this year. Can you say when it is, or is that off-limits as well?
You know I would but maybe I should warn you I really do sound like Samuel L. Jackson even when I'm cheerful :-D
That's one of the things I kind of like about MOC! When I can use anything in my stash, it can be a big time suck just to choose a kit. When I'm limited to the small fraction of my supplies that come from TLP, I just choose something and make it work. It's a nice change of pace.
Not dreading. Already had the clean & simple- so downhill for me now,LOL! Not nearly as stressed this year as I was last- It is always fun to see what someone has come up for a challenge. And then seeing everyone's different take on it!
I was dreading the Art Journaling - I think that is the only one I was nervous about. I love how my page turned out and now i'm pumped for the rest of the challenges
They're not therapeutic to me, but rather painful. I'd rather not relive the experience by scrapping about it and telling the tale.
@bestcee - I just throw all the pages into a folder and then shrink File Explorer so that it only shows 2 layouts across (I scrap only in tiff files so I can see the pages). I put in a dummy page to get the left/right to work out. So here is a screen shot of a double pager, followed by 2 different events that have similar colors in the pages. The file names are the month day template-name so they sort chronologically. I have created placeholders with just text on them to make pages I skipped or need to come back to do.
Oh lord! I am terribly petrified of what the new challenge will be each day. I am such a newbie at many techniques in PSE. I just have no idea on many things, like brushes. I do not even use them LOL and after my stumbling block from the January 12th challenge I feel even more vulnerable. My lay-out FINALLY did comply for that day BUT I kinda lost some of my mojo even so. We are almost half way through and I just can't see not finishing at this point. I hope there is nothing ahead that I will not be able to comply with, sigh! It's my first MOC, by the way
I have PSE 7 and do DPs all the time. Sometimes I have two LOs open and going at the same time, sometimes a 24x12 spread. My monitor is only a 17" . How do I put a blue guideline down the middle? Right now I just eyeball it.
