January 14: Clean & Simple with Texture

My kinda page - ty!

 

I hope the wood background passes - please let me know and I'll change it. Not my normal style only because I take tons of pictures, but I love the look of it when I only have one photo. I chose paint. Thanks for hosting!

Texture is gesso

 

Clean and simple always takes me forever to do!
I have used Gesso and paint for texture

 

I love clean & simple . . . and I love gesso. Easy choices, but it still took a long time to get it "just right." LOL!

 

Ah SO loved this challenge Such a dramatic effect with the texture Thank you!

 

I hope this is clean and simple enough....

 

Texture - Stitching

 

I have stitches, paint, vellum frame and wood bit.

 

My texture is the fabric tag peeking out.

 

Texture on page:
Tape (on photo corners)
Gesso (on page, various spots)
fabric (red bandana)
cork (heart on top of pg)
stitching (on top and bottom of page)
wood (round frame behind photo)

 

One of the things I like most about Scrapbooking in Community is the vast array of what we like and don't like. This is my least favourite kind of scrapbooking! It's like a waste of a page for me, but I love that others love it! I will rise to the challenge but it's hard for me to put just one or no photos on a page. I scrap to remind myself of the memories of life. I'm a people person, so my photos are all full of people and events! Let's see what I can do clean and simple!

 

You made this look so easy with your beautiful layout. I love this style but never seem to quite 'get it'. It always fun to try though!
