January 2: Photography challenge {shallow depth of field}

I've been wanting to take photos and scrap a LO of this since hubby put it together. Finally the challenge I was waiting for I love playing around with the depth of field on my camera - so much fun.

 

I photographed my budding orchid for this challenge. The background is a blurred wall.

Macro photo taken January 3, 2019, of Murano cat I purchased in Venice, Italy, many years ago

 

This was fun and got me out of my typical scrapping routine by forcing me to take a photo specifically about what I wanted to scrap rather than the other way around.

 

Yesturday near Marseille was the perfect day to take this kind oh picture !

 

Shallow depth of field is my fave.

The main gingerbread house is my photo. The cupboards in the background are blurry. I shot it with my macro setting on my camera. (Nikon D5600)

 

I used the macro option on my point and shoot. I took dozens (I have shaky hand syndrome) to get one that wasn't blurry where it shouldn't be!

 

Here is mine. I really enjoyed this challenge.

 

Here's mine. I had a layout with what I thought would be new pictures (2-day old pictures - which to me is new), but I took a new photo today and redid the whole layout.
