Journaling Reads: After having increasing pain, and reduced mobility over the past several years from osteo arthritis in my left hip my surgeon and I decided it was time for a total hip replacement which was scheduled for January 26, 2026. I put it off for several months so that I would not be in recovery when my first grandchild was born at the end of September as I was my daughter’s second support person at the delivery. January seemed like a good time as I’d be home bound and recovering during the Winter months when not much is happening anyway. Little did I know there would be a big snowstorm that threatened to postpone my surgery -- it didn’t -- but it was touch and go, and then another one with 3 feet of snow a few weeks later. I managed to hold it together and stay positive during my recovery which is going very well. I won’t be completed recovered for a few more months but I already have little to no pain, and can walk farther, and have greatly increased mobility. I’m so glad I had the surgery. No more dealing with restrictions from my bad hip. [Journaling 12 April 2026]
Blessing Beth, and glad you are recuperating and recovering from the hip surgery. Take it slow and steady and so glad you are seeing great results so far. Glad you chose the winter too! Well done page! TFS! Prayers for continued healing!
I'm doing really well thank you. It's been 3 and a half months now and I'm moving so much better than I did before with hardly any pain. It's miraculous.
