I just booked a 4 day vacation JUST FOR ME!! Going to my parents in Napa, California! September! YEP, got my tickets 6 months in advance! woo hooo
We as a family go to San Diego in July, but it is a conference for my hubby and the boys and I sit for hours/days and most of the week at the beach. Pure bliss. That is a driving trip, and exhausting.
So, do you have any vacations planned out for the next few months?
Those going to exotic places, like Hawaii and such, I promise not to be too jealous! lol if you take me with you!

That sounds like great trip for you, Anne.

We just got back from a week in Orlando, Fla. We spent 4 days at Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. We also drove out to the Kennedy Space Center, which is very cool. The son got to meet a real astronaut and we saw the Space X rocket on the launch pad. We didn't get to see it launch since it was around midnight when it went up.

Coming in April - Scrap Camp!!! Weekend in the NC mountains with @Jolleyontheroad and a bunch of others, scrapping, and eating.

Coming in June -- hubby and I are taking an Alaskan Cruise - meanwhile, the two youngest and friends (16 to 27 age range) are headed to Williamsburg, VA for Busch Gardens and Water Country.

Coming in August - trip to Michigan to see my sister get married. Not sure how long we will stay.

Coming in 2020 - Girl Scout trip to New Zealand, Australia, and Hawaii for daughter and me

Clara and I are heading out on our 4th Annual Mother Daughter Disneyland trip on March 31st! Can't wait! We both need the break and I love spending time with my girl :-)

Other than that, we'll go to our place in Michigan this summer, but not sure when or for how long.

My son is flying to Missouri in a couple weeks to visit my parents for part of his spring break. Clara will be going to Cuba in June with the youth group from church. My husband is always going somewhere, but that's work, not vacation!

That sounds like a great trip! No wonder you're all excited about it!

No vacations planned (yet) this year. I'm a last minute planner though, so I really can't say for certain whether or not we are going anywhere. LOL

Yay, Anne! How fun!!

My sister and I will be traveling to Sweden in June so she can meet our family who live there. She's not been, so this will be an amazing trip for her! I went for my first time in 2016 and I absolutely fell in love with it. Both sides of our family are from Sweden, but we've only kept in contact with this one branch of the family.

Afterwards we'll make a 3-day stop in Iceland. Again, her first time and my second. I knew I had to bring her there, so we made sure to fly Iceland Air to take advantage of the free stopover!

I'll also make a trip to California to visit with her and some friends sometime in July.

Nope. We already had our family trip to San Diego in January, as you may know because I talked about it interfering with MOC (though I caught up quickly) and I made almost half my MOC pages about the trip.

I don't think we'll be having a family overnight trip again this year or maybe for years. The previous one was in 2013. Hopefully the next will not take that long! Subsets of my family are more likely to take trips, like when my daughters and I went down to South Carolina in 2016 to see Pentatonix. And my husband took our younger daughter to NYC to see a Broadway play that year too. My husband and our older daughter will be going to a gaming convention this coming August for the third time.

Enjoy California Anne!

My son gets released from his 2-year LDS mission in July, so we are planning to take the family and go back up to Oregon to see where he's been serving. I can't believe he only has 4 months left.... WOOT!

@QuiltyMom - Sweden sounds amazing! My hubby served a LDS mission there 25 years ago and the company he works for is based in Sweden. In all his travels, He's never made it back, but his boss is saying that they might be going to Sweden this fall. I need to get my passport renewed so if he does get to go to Sweden, I can go with him. I'm not looking forward to the long flight because I've had my legs swell on flights to Hawaii, but it would be fun to see where he served his mission.

I wish I was! We may or may not be moving this summer so we are not planning anything big until we know for sure.

We will probably spend a long weekend at my BIL's lake house in TN sometime this summer. I'd like to do a couple more overnight/weekend trips (like to Chicago which is just a couple hours from here) but we'll see what shakes out.

I am already making plans for my 40th birthday in 2020, though. Does that count?! I want to do this:

@QuiltyMom Mom, that trip sounds amazing. Can't wait to see photos.

We're gearing up to take our 3 kids (along with my sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew) on a whirlwind spring break tour of NYC. I love the city when I'm navigating on my own, but a little stressed about shepherding our crew through all the sites! The kids range from 8 years old to 14, so lots of different interests - and energy levels.

Then, two weeks at the beach this summer. Ahhhh....

I'll be going to Italy with my older son in May and cannot wait. He has never been and isn't very interested either - he's 14 and just hoping the hotel has wi-fi (it has), but I am determined to make him fall in love with going to foreign places.

No plans yet, but there will probably be a beach trip sometime over summer vacation :) Hoping to plan a few weekend getaways as well, to amusement parks and things!! I'm so looking forward to warmer weather and being out and about more!!

Hope you have an amazing time, Anne!!

I wish......right now there is no money for a vacation and once I get a job, no paid vacations for 12 months.

No big trips this year but hoping for an Alaskan cruise in 2019. May make a short trip to Mackinac Island this summer with my 2nd cousin. Her 1st cousins (my 2nd) live there during the summer and it has been a long time since I've been there.

We are going to Florida at some point in the next month or so to visit my Father In Law. He lives at the beach and it has been far too long since we went!

In June, we are headed to Boulder, Colorado. My husband’s youngest brother is getting married. We extended this into a week long trip to give us time to explore.

We have another wedding- this one for a close friend- that we are going to in Asheville NC in September.

We’ll most likely be getting Disney Annual Passes again in September and going for a week for my daughter’s 10th birthday. And I am sure that the passes will mean we’ll take a long weekend and go down in October and November, too.

My husband and I are planning a few days just us in December to celebrate our anniversary ❤️

Whew. Busy year!

We're going to Sweden mid-June, in time for Midsummer celebrations.

And I'll be in L.A. (Burbank). I haven't picked the dates yet, but I'll keep that in mind. I haven't been to San Diego in years!!! Wouldn't that be a trip?

We don't have any big trips planned yet.

I just went on a 2.5 day trip to a homeschool convention with my 2 older girls. It was wonderful. The first time I've done anything like that with my older girls.

In April we have a 3 day trip planned to Raleigh for doc appointments. We'll do some fun stuff in between.

That's it for the year so far.

We'll go to Florida sometime in late summer/early fall. We are keeping our eye on some rental houses & waiting for prices to drop...we'll just go during the cheapest week we can get. We waited last year and found some in between dates and got a sweet deal.

No plans for a vacation since we are planning on putting a new deck on our home/new hardwood floor in one bedroom and some other house remodeling we need to do.

I hope we can at least get away for some type of vacation this summer and have some money left over for our annual fall trip to Pigeon Forge TN.
