Super Blue Blood Moon

I didn't wake up super early or anything. When I looked this morning, it was partially blocked out but yellowish. I confess I'm not "in" with the space crowd... I feel like these "rare occurrences" happen not so rare. Or maybe it's just been topical recently. They all just sort of piled up in the past year or so... *shrug* they're cool to see, but I'm happy to look at pics of it from others.
 
I left about 5 minutes early for work today and got to see the partial eclipse. It was pretty cool! I took some photos with my big camera, but haven't loaded them yet to see how they turned out.
I was amazed at how bright it was out at 5 this morning! The moon is behind my house and some trees at that time, but bright enough that I could see the shadow of my house across the front lawn!
 
Did anyone see the moon THIS morning?? it kind of woke me up around 6:30ish glowing yellow as it was high in the western sky. I did go outside - and it was COLD! - but my iPhone didn't capture that yellow. I suspect it will look the same tomorrow if anyone looks due west.
 
My two oldest and I sat outside in the driveway and watched it. It was really neat to see it progress from a full moon to the blood mood. The kids really enjoyed it.
 
I took this photo outside my bedroom doors here in Windsor. It was the night after the event but it was still an amazing moon. You can see the Windsor Castle tower on the far right. Click the image and I think it will show you the bigger version. The middle starburst between the trees is the River Thames and the train station. We have a pretty nice view.

That is beautiful!! You certainly do have a pretty nice view!!

That is awesome! I agree - what a great view!!
 
Well, we had a total bummer!! Cloudy and snow!! Everything was cancelled. Oh well------ I will look on line for some nice photos.
My daughter did get a nice photo the night before. It had a HUGE ring around it!!
