Have you un-xmas'ed? | Pad Patter 1.11.2018

We took the inside decorations down on January 1. I took the garland around the lamppost down this morning. The wreath on the front door will stay until it dies.
 
I would love to keep the tree up a lot longer but my hubby wanted it down so on 12/31/18 we put it all away but then he complained that it was "plain".
 
Mine was all down and back in the attic by the afternoon of the 26th. I just like having the last week of my break be stress free with nothing hanging over my head to do. I will say that my outside stuff is still up, but only because I haven't wanted to brave the negative wind chills to take it down LOL I'm planning on tomorrow evening if it doesn't rain all day.

Do I get a prize? My trees are both still up... However, I did move all the knick knacky things to the dinning room, pending putting away in the boxes. I did take down the garland on the stairs, boxed it up, and it is back in storage. I also moved all the storage boxes downstairs. Hmmm - maybe later tonight or Saturday...

Some times I leave the icicle lights up until February. I may take them down Saturday if I get the trees down before then.

My family has decided they want the tree to stay up for another year. So the spring decorations for it will be coming out soon. We love the atmosphere it brings into our home year round and have decorations for each season that we put on it. I can't remember though if this will be the third year or the fourth year in a row now. :)

We don't decorate any more, so we're always in "un" Xmas mode
 
I follow my mother's old tradition of taking the decorations down the day after the 12th day of Christmas which is the 5th January so it all came down last Saturday. Not that there was much because I no longer put up too many decorations. I string up all the christmas cards we receive and that is the main decoration and then I have a nativity scene I set up each year.
 
Well, the tree is turned off, and everything is ready to get packed away. I just need to bring the totes down from the attic!

Indeed!! She is winning. I took one tree down and packed up all the dining room stuff. Still have one tree up. One bonus --- got all my steps in for today with all the going up and down stairs.
 
I took mine down on the 30th. I usually like everything cleaned up by the first...I love that feeling of "unclutteredness"...although I do like putting up the Christmas decorations too.
 
We spent Christmas Day at my daughter's house so we only had the tree up this year. I didn't feel like putting up all the usual decor. Since it's an artificial tree, it stays up until Epiphany. It got taken down on the 7th because that was the day my son could come over to help me take the tree down. My husband has a hand in a cast so he couldn't help.

I do have the Christmas card holder and cards to deal with yet this week.
 
We are Catholic, so the Christmas season doesn’t actually begin until Christmas Eve and the 12 Days of Christmas goes through the Epiphany. We take our stuff down the week after.

HOWEVER...we have all been sick, so it’s stiLl up LOL
 
Noooooo. My husband has been working a crazy schedule and I am in a knee brace with a pimp cane.

It was in the fifties yesterday so hubby took the outside lights down. We did not have a tree because of the kitties.
 
I thought we had. Just spotted all the Christmas cards are still on the window ledge. Also the table candle centre piece my daughter made for Christmas still has a few uses yet so I'm holding onto that for a bit longer.
 
I threw away my tree branches and put the ornaments that were on them away yesterday but that's it LOL!
