So, quite often, it's the little things that just make life better. Now, before you think I'm getting all sappy, this morning the little thing is....

The blue arrow on the side of the TLP forums that let's me go back to the top on mobile without scrolling! :giggle

What little things just make your day a little better or easier? (Does not have to be TLP related)

I never knew that was there. I usually just tap the top of my screen. See, I learned something new today!

I love that little arrow too. I use it all day everyday.

hmmm... my little thing would have to be HOT running water. It was so cold today when I got into the pool for my deep water aerobics, but I was so happy when I got home and was able to take a nice, hot shower! I think I emptied the water heater cuz it felt so good to just let it hit my lower back and shoulders and warm my body.

Awesome....didn't know about the boxed arrow :) Now I do!

Little things....my e-reader that I can take everywhere with me, my collection of scarves that make me feel warm and snuggly all day that I love to wear with tights, my flavored coffee that gets me through the day and, as it's that time of year.....all things pumpkin make me happy!

I literally only discovered this gem of an arrow a few days ago! I love it ❤️

Little things that make me very happy... choosing an avocado that is actually ripe, a fresh box of cheez-its, birds at our bird feeder, getting a handwritten note in the mail, finding shapes in clouds. Just a few that came to mind right now.

Well, I had never noticed the little arrow, thanks for the tip.

I love that little button too!! I also love me some hot water, coffee and fresh avocados!!

I love the reheat button on my microwave! I don't have to guess at how long I need to reheat something; just hit reheat, the corresponding number to what I'm reheating, the quantity and start!

Courtney, not to make this about me, but I was just thinking about "the little things"! :) Are you reading my mind??? :hide
Anyway, today my little thing is my sunflowers. Most of them were done by the end of Sept, but I had a beautiful multi-head one that bloomed last week and it's still going strong in this (ridiculous) heat! I love seeing the pop of yellow outside.

My mom taking my 3yo son for a few hours one morning a week makes my life better & easier. Is that a terrible thing to say?! :giggle

no, is not, most definitely not, a terrible thing to say. You deserve a break...we all need to have a balance because of you are stressed out you aren't good to your child...so, no is perfectly normal....!!!
Having said that.... is not something I count as a "little thing" , more like a HUGE big time thing. My mother in law didn't even want to hold Sarita when she was born (leaving my mum horrified!!!) and she never did anything much when she was in London... with my parents living so far away...my mum being here or any of my friends who offered to take care of Sarita for a bit...I considered that a BIG thing!!!!!!! :)

Courtney, YES to that arrow. LOVE.
My little thing today? that there was dinner left from last night that Sarita cooked, Bangers & Mash with Onion Gravy, plus home made pancakes . There was food enough just for one, and she microwaved it for me today, plus a bit of left over batter that gave us a pancake each too!!!
I m thinking now maybe this isn't that little either LOL

My little thing today is iced water. After dragging ourselves and the baby from home to the airport, on the first flight, across to the train station, through the tunnels, into the international terminal, through check in and security and on to the gate...water has NEVER tasted so good!

@bestcee Yes, I love it! Apparently I take it for granted though, it doesn't work properly on my phone if it is portrait orientation, it just won't click. Turn my phone sideways and it is fine. I think it is to do with my screen cover... investigation time, lol!!

My little thing at the moment is not stepping on Coco Pops... seriously. I am NEVER buying Coco Pops again, or Rice Bubbles!! They are the two devils of breakfast cereal!! They go either soggy and sticky, or rock hard on the floor when my kids make their breakfast themselves (bless them) and then I step in it... OMG so much rage. Anyone seen The Lego Movie? Princess Unikitty right here!

I am with you. I am a SAHM, and my son is in daycare one day a week and it is wonderful. We were encouraged by our child health nurse to put him into care if we could because he was so very clingy to me. Wouldn't even stay home with his Dad while I picked up our daughter from school (10 minute round trip). It helped so much with his independence and it gives me a break to do what I need to do without him being stuck to me all day.

I don't use it enough. I guess I forget or overlook it. But you always have/find/use/share the coolest little things when it comes to software/techy things.

I read through all your posts and agree with all of them and find myself nodding my head and saying YES!

I also love steel wool, and iced water after a long journey (kudos to you & your traveling w/a very young baby BTW!), opening the avocado and finding it perfectly ripe (it IS always a mystery as to what you will get!), bright vibrant sunflowers, sitting higher up in an SUV, leftovers are the best, a few hours of quiet time from being a mom, and my favorite moment of each day is always a hot shower.

I guess I haven't been buying coffee out a lot much - but I stopped in to D&D and they have almond milk now as a choice. Who knows maybe that has been there for years, but I never noticed. The menu is too busy and hard for me to see so I never really look at it. Starbucks has had non-dairy for years and years ... but I was happy to see it offered at D&D! So that's my little thing for today.

My little thing is when a food product, like cool whip, has a plastic shrink wrap to seal it up and they actually add the perforation so that it's easy to take the shrink wrap off. If it doesn't have the perforation and I have to get out a knife... I'm instantly annoyed. :giggle

I just learned another new TLP thing!!!! In the upper left corner of your avatar, if there is a little green triangle, it means that person is online at the moment. Has that always been there and I never noticed it before?????

So that's my fave little thing for today!!!!

a fresh box of cheez-its,
Yes!!! I hate stale cheez-its.

I don't have to guess at how long I need to reheat something; just hit reheat, the corresponding number to what I'm reheating, the quantity and start!
That sounds magical!

You make it about you all you want! Maybe it's October? Or fall? That brings out the little things thoughts.

Is that a terrible thing to say?
Never! Self care is important.I switch with a mom once a week. She takes my kid on Thursday morning, I take hers on Tuesdays. It's amazing to have planned time to myself.

water has NEVER tasted so good
I bet! Airport water is gross. And I don't like dasani, which is what they use on the planes.

Oh that is cool!! Did not know that.

I love the up-arrow and all those other little things already mentioned.
