HI Everyone!

So... I dislike laundry. Yep, just one of those things that annoy me and the fact that it's never ending makes me nutty! Plus, I think we need a new dryer... ours is squeaking so loudly, and the drum inside is out of whack.

I do about a load a day 5 days out of the week. How many do you do? I split up my darks, lights, towels. Plus... there's soccer gear! I never realized how badly soccer gear STINKS! Ugh.

Oh... how often do you wash certain pieces of clothing? I wash jeans every 3 to 4 wears as they stretch out too much, and become so baggy. A lot of times when I wear a shirt, I might wear a tank top underneath, so those shirts I might get 2 washings out of... what about you? Many are once and wear, but if I can get away with two or more, I will. :)

Ugh. I hate laundry too. I used to get SO behind on it during soccer seasons because i was just never home, so finally my hubby started doing it for me. Hooray!!! I don't get a lunch hour anymore because I go in early (6:30am) and work straight through except for a 15 minute lunch at my desk so I can get off at 3:00 to pick up my kids from school. Well, my hubby and i both work .3 miles from our house, so he goes home at lunch and can throw in a load pretty easily. I'm SOOOOO thankful that he does that. Then if I am home I will do laundry, but if I'm honest, he's really better at it than I am. :giggle

I also wear jeans and pants a couple times before washing them and same with shirts that I wear a tank top under. My hubby on the other hand used to wear jeans for 10 minutes and throw them down the laundry chute. Now that he's doing laundry more though, I notice he doesn't do that as much. :)

I do similarly. Wash about once a week for my husband and me. My girls have been doing their own laundry since they were 12 and my son has another year before he reaches that point. I have a bar of hooks in my bedroom where I hang up my clothes to air out when they don't need to be washed yet.

Everyone does their own here. It is heaven. I will often just move things along though if there is a slow down/pile up. We probably do 6-7 loads a week.

We will get there... my DH helps a lot... so the boys see that, and start to help fold (their undies, socks, shorts, towels, etc). Shayne will learn the washer soon... pry around his 13th birthday, as a present to me! :giggle

They don't remember to wash sheets/pillow cases. I still make them do it - but have to remind them "it's time". Good luck getting there Jenn ... :agree

Laundry is the bane of my existence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGH! ROFL

I hate it.

Hubby does volunteer which is nice. But mostly I do it. I usually do it all on the weekend and it's about 6-7 loads including towels and such too.

I've been doing my own laundry since I was 6, so you moms are awesome, lol!! My siblings & I would use the tide box to help up reach things. It was super funny in college to see how many people didn't know how to do theirs, lol!

That being said, I HATE doing laundry. Not so much the doing as the folding & putting away. For jeans I do wear multiple times between washing since that's really better for them.

Right now our dryer is broken, so I'm in need of doing a load or two & stealing my grandma's dryer who lives down the road. We had a repair guy to our house that we'd used for years, but since he was an older man his health declined shortly after checking out the dryer. He's doing better but done with the work, so we still have to get someone out or fork over the money to get a new one.

Laundry is the bane of my existence. I do as little as possible as often as I can get away with it. :giggle

Everyone does their own here... but I still hate it.

Actually, I don't hate doing laundry as I really secretly love to wash stuff what I hate is this...

Not so much the doing as the folding & putting away.

I wear jeans multiple days because they're so much more comfy the second day... a couple days longer and they're too baggy though.

I don't mind folding the laundry... but don't ask me how long items sit in the basket, clean! I now make the boys put theirs away right after I fold it... I make them put theirs away. :giggle

my house looks AWFUL. Our clean clothes are in a set of baskets, I don't get laundry done like I should, we have a family of 6, so I'm pretty sure that I should be doing at least one every day if not more often. More often than not though, we go through the piles of dirty clothes in the hamper or floor and throw what we absolutely need in the washer and then use that. Sunday's are our chores day when we wash the sheets and change them and then get the OTHER parts of laundry done that we used. I'm awful at this.

Jeans (especially for me) aren't washed that often, every 3 to 4 wears depending. Like during the winter weekends when we're in the house and don't get things dirty and don't sweat (my jeans, I'm ALWAYS at home lately, so I'll wear them 5 to 6 times before washing them because I don't do anything but accounting in my chair...) so those will go longer.

Sweatshirts, like someone said, we do t-shirts or tanks under them so they go one or two wearings without being washed as well.

Laundry isn't my fav either.

I love doing laundry. Hanging out clothes on the line as I look down the valley towards the hills is my favourite part of the day. I'll do laundry over vacuuming and mopping floors any day. Now those are 2 jobs I really don't like. White tiles in the kitchen are just awful!

Just two of us here; I don't mind the washing as much as the putting away. If only I could figure out how to train the husband or the dog to put things away.

My dryer is also making a really loud screeching noise so I am pretty sure it will need to be replaced in the next few months.

I am also trying to figure out a way to put wash pads on the dogs feet so he can run around and wash the kitchen tile floor -- he has enough energy that it would be spotless if I could just figure out a way for him to clean it.

:giggle.... I think if I had to do laundry in that location I might like it much more!

Oh man... this cracks me up! I want to see the pup so I can picture him mopping with little mops on his feet as shoes! :giggle

I am a Monday is laundry day girl. I sort by color & temp and do it all that day. I taught the kids how to do laundry but I do it for the most part. I do have them help with the folding, my least favorite thing. I had Sock Boy for many years, then he went off to college and son #2 became Sock Boy. Then he went off to college and I guess I am back to being Sock Mom. As I wash/dry the various loads, I throw all the socks into 1 basket and then Sock Boy had to sort, match, fold, and put each person's away. My daughter has underwear duty.

I don't mind folding/hanging the rest of the clothes, but socks and underwear are the pits. I also don't like folding towels which is dumb because they are easy.

Back when we were newlyweds and both worked full-time, John thought that on Saturdays he could just watch TV all day. Meanwhile, I was lugging stuff down to the laundromat. How unfair, right? So I taught him how to do the laundry, and he's been doing it ever since. I might fold it or hang up the things that don't go in the dryer, but that's about it.

I do laundry every monday & thursday- usually at least 4 loads- depending on towels/sheets. I don't mind it so much as long as I stay on schedule- if I miss a day- bad news bears!!! I am teaching my 9 yr old daughter to do her own- so there's that! ;) I also make the kids wear their jammies 2x before I wash them- they usually are straight out of the shower or bath when they put them on & aren't really 'sweaty' sleepers :)

Pretty much the same, with the strict water restrictions the towels and bedding are washed even less regularly and we try and give clothes more than one outing. Except undies, that I won't compromise on.
