Spending a nice day with the window open and the cool fall air blowing in.. I got my mini crock pot all plugged in with some pumkin spiced apple cider heating up... oh this is heaven :) I love this time of year!! Soon the leaves will change color!
 
We're a bit ahead of you. We've got the beautiful autumn colours, and the leaves are starting to fall. Today is a brisk windy day, hoping it won't rain because I'm going to my youngest boy's football game this afternoon.
 
It's currently 83 at 10:30 here and the high is supposed to be 96! But I cannot believe it's October already!! This year is flying by! 30 days until Halloween!!!
 
That sounds lovely. My house is just plain cold today, but I refuse to turn on heat this earlier. It got down to about 42 last night and sitting out at football until after 10 last night was not fun lol. I'm getting ready to start some chicken enchiladas here in a few, so when I get the oven going it will warm up the house some. It seemed like our leaves started turning really early this year. They are falling, falling, everywhere!
 
@HeatherB I am at the beach (VA Beach).. around 70 today... thank goodness no humidity but it is supposed to get hot again in a few days. Enjoy your son's game!

@bbymks5 Sorry it is still so warm there Timmi... we are going to get another warm snap here in a few days.

@IntenseMagic Jan that sound yum.. sorry your getting cold early. The enchiladas sound yum! We are making Asparagus soup (Hubby is) so that will be dinner tonight. Smells so good here :) I love seeing the leaves turn.. hope you got some photos!! :) ENjoy the rest of your Sunday!!
 
Our first week of Fall temps is coming this week. Leaves are just starting to change. State Fair is coming in 2 weeks...
 
What is a mini crock pot? While I realize I could just Google it lol, I want your tips/tricks and what one you have!

As far as our Fall Day, the kids played nicely outside for quite a bit. We've got the windows open but DH, who opened them, is napping so I'm going to shut them. And then he'll wake up and grumble about the windows and open them back up lol.

I always loved State fairs when I lived in NY.. I would go up to Syracuse for it. Fun times.. enjoy!!
 
I'm so scared this is going to be another warm fall/winter for most of the country! At least they aren't calling for triple digits anymore...but that could change tomorrow LOL!

oh the crock I have that is little is ancient actually. lol.. was my Mom's... rarely use it so it lasts a long time.. no dial only one setting.. ON LOL I think it is a Rival? I just poured the pumpkin spiced apple cider (bought in the quart jug) and poured some into the small crock pot and turned it on until hot.. I did have the mulled spice to put in it years ago but when I was in walmart this morning I saw the apple cider had pumpkin spice mixed with it so I bought it.

Sara- I found the one I have from 1980 time frame.. this is the exact one I have!!

Full blown autumn here in my little corner of the world!
Lots of rain. Colder temps, but not cold enough for winter coats yet. Gorgeous colours already and falling leaves. Mushrooms everywhere. I am in love. :)

I got my sisters slow cooker last winter, but haven't dared to try anything yet. I'm a for scared because I have NO idea of how it works yet. Seems like the perfect project for an upcoming weekend.
 
Here in GA it is around 75 today but we have a breeze blowing and it feels amazing! It is supposed to warm up to the low to mid 80's again during the week. But I am going to enjoy this beautiful weather while we have it. I love Fall. It's my favorite.
 
@cfile That's a cute lil' thing! :)

And I love fresh air too, but I hate feeling cold wind blowing on me. The temp can be cold but the wind attacking me? Nope. I don't like it lol!

Berniek it is great.. I have made a roasted chicken in the bigger one.. we don't eat the skin so it doesn't matter to me that it isn't crispy... quick recipe.. ball up 5 balls of aluminum foil and place in bottom of slow cooker. wash & rinse a whole chicken. sprinkle salt paper onion garlic and paprika over chicken and place on the aluminum balls. put the cover on and place on slow and cook for 8 hours. Done! serve with your favorite veggies.. for the two of us, I end up with 3 nights plus a soup! I bought a package of gravy making so I could use the juice and all for soup. (I boil the giblets in some water on the stove and then toss the giblets when they are done... the broth I use for the soup :) ) Quick dinner and then you have it for more meals and inexpensive!

It's beautiful here today too! It's about 70 & my kids have been playing outside all afternoon. I just came in to start some dinner.

While I'm not a fall girl, today was a beautiful day for SOCCER! lol! Sunny, cool, 65* and perfection!
 
It's 8:21pm here and just now getting to 69*. I love the brisker weather! I don't mind so much the fall flavors, but I don't care for coffee at all. I have recently become a bit of a tea connoisseur, mostly because I want to try all of them in search of one I actually like...

When the weather gets consistently cool, I will put my hot water pot on the counter (the giant coffee maker that heats 36 cups of water at a time), and drink tea until the hot weather comes back!! But, I live near Los Angeles, so there will be very little rain and no snow! The concrete jungle will look the same all winter long, except for when I change the wreath on the door at the beginning of each month, lol!
