I will knock on some wood that whatever stomach bug is making it's rounds stays away from your house!!

My youngest got hit yesterday, tossed her cookies about 6 times yesterday!! I had to run to Dollar Tree to get 4 shower liners to spread out on the living room floor to keep the rug safe and so she wouldn't have to be in a room by herself.

She woke up this morning with a fever, I gave her some Tylenol and she slept again until noon, when she woke up her fever was gone and she ate a slice of toast; fell back asleep until 5:00 and her fever was back; more Tylenol was given and she ate half a popsicle and some chicken noodle soup and seems to be feeling a bit better, as she's still awake and is kind of in a sitting position.

Just hoping this is the end and nobody else in the house gets it!

I hope it's the end! I'll be back. Gotta disinfect my computer screen....

I know @gonewiththewind had that nasty bug at her house recently! We had the Noro Virus back in April. None of those are fun! Stay healthy!

    And shower curtains are brilliant!

Girl, that was AWFUL. My son had it first and then I had. Vomiting first with loads of nausea, accompanied by fever, a bit more vomiting, and then the fever broke but then it was upset stomach after that. And it was terrible, like projectile. I don't know what that bug is, but it did NOT belong in our bodies . . . LOL . . . hoping everyone else stays well!

Love the shower curtain idea. I'm going to keep that in mind.

oh no! I hope she's feeling better today and that the rest of you don't get it. We had a nasty bug during Feb and March. It started with DD 17, then my hubby who never gets sick, and it ended with me. I got it the worst. I got everything both of them had, plus a bunch of other stuff. Luckily, it missed my 11 year old.

Your shower curtain idea is genius! I'll have to remember that for the next time we get the sickies.

Thank you ladies!! Her tummy must still be on the fritz, it's almost 9:45 and she's still asleep...

I did ask my Dr. yesterday while I was there what was going around and she said there's a nasty stomach bug going around an a pretty bad upper respiratory bug making it's rounds as well. I'm crossing all the things hubby doesn't get it...men are big babies when they're sick LOL! I'm trying my hardest to keep the middle out of her face/personal space, but she's such a smother mother...err I mean nurturer, it's been difficult.

Dollar Tree liners are great!!! Cheap enough that you can buy however many it takes to cover whatever sized area needs protected, and you can either spray off with Lysol to fold and keep for the next time, or you can toss without feeling too guilty that you've wasted a ton of money. I also put her pillow in some plastic bags and then covered it with a towel, just in case...she loves that pillow!!

@bestcee That little cartoon made me laugh so hard!! I get visuals like that when I'm cleaning LOL!!

@gonewiththewind @keepscrappin How long was everyone under from this nasty thing??

@bbymks5 - It lasted about a week for DD and hubby, but mine took 2 or 3 weeks. It was the respiratory stuff that took the longest to resolve. I ended up with a sinus infection. Even with antibiotics and nasal sprays, I was miserable for 2 weeks after getting meds. The stomach stuff was just a couple of days.

Oh no :( Sinus infections are no joke...someone looks at you wrong and you feel like your head is going to explode from all the pressure.

@bbymks5 About 72 hours from start to finish, with an uneasiness that still lingered a few days afterwards.

Oh man...so about a week for you too :(

She woke up at 10:30, ate a bit of dry cereal, said her throat hurt and was going to lay down...she's been asleep again since 11:30. If her throat hurts tomorrow still, I'll have to take her in. I use to get strep all.the.time.

Thank you for both!! If it is strep, hopefully it means she'll be healthy the rest of the year! *knock on wood*

That's what I'm hoping for...from all of the throwing up she did :( she doesn't have a runny/stuffy nose or cough, so I know it's not from drainage or anything like that.

    Thank you!!
