So, are you a shopper? Is this your weekend to shine? Are you heading out to the bargains, letting them come to you, or somewhere in between?

I've done the Black Friday get up super early to wait in the lines. This year, we are halfway done with shopping, so I think I'm just going to chill at home.

No way will I get up early or stay up all night to stand in line for anything, except the Beatles in 1964...

But I did a lot of online Black Friday early bird specials and intend to do even more between now and Monday. Christmas shopping well underway.

Oh yes. I love going out on Black Friday. I will start tonight at Michael's. Tomorrow , probably just target, and I have a lot of etsy shops on my "maybe" list.

Not usually! But, I think the older girls and I might go do a little shopping. We'll see. I feel like I need to get out of the house and have some time with my older girls....it might be kind of fun.

We did the Black Friday thing one time - and didn't buy a thing - after waiting in the Kohl's line for 30 minutes and not being anywhere close to the checkouts - we left - came home and went back to sleep! LOL!

I am done with all of my shopping for Christmas - having a small family to buy for helps! Hubby and I don't exchange gifts (we figure we buy what we want when we want throughout the year!) so have our son, DIL and 2 grandbabies to buy for. I did 99% of my shopping online and most of it will delivered Monday. Carter's and Kohl's had black Friday early so I bought a lot there -- hubby bought a lot of things for our son @ Farm & Fleet - and the items were all on sale. So while I might have saved a bit waiting for Black Friday / Cyber Monday - I am not going to even look online so I can't compare prices! LOL!

i'm going to try to buy a few things over the weekend and really make a dent in my holiday shopping.

We're heading out this afternoon to cross the border, will drop hubs and Taz at the trailer and then I'll head into Bellingham to shop throughout the night. I always manage to find some good deals and get a good chunk of Xmas shopping done. Then tomorrow I will sleep off and on throughout the day depending on how late I am out tonight and what time I get to bed. Last year I was home by 4:00 am and went to bed at 5:00 am. So, Friday is a quiet day for me, dozing off and on in front of the TV. Then Friday night we'll unplug the fridges to defrost them overnight and start packing up supplies to bring home for the winter. We turn off the internet and phone for the winter, so we'll do that just before heading home on Saturday evening.

Isn't that why we have computers? I'm not a crowds person but I did actually get up early yesterday (yes someone started their sale on Wednesday) and go. It was more because of the timing of the day.
When the boys were younger I might have done some. But not this super super early in the morning ones.

I don't even like normal crowds in stores, so I usually do almost everything online :) But, we are at the beach for Thanksgiving this year, and I'm thinking about grabbing a little nap and heading to the outlets later just for the heck of it.

No. I don't shop on Black Friday unless it's on line shopping. Tomorrow I'll get up and go to the gym, then I'm getting my hair cut and highlighted. After dinner, we're going to a nearby amusement park to see their holiday lights and fireworks. Much better than shopping!

I usually avoid going shopping this weekend. I'm not totally opposed though and do take a look at the ads a little bit. But more often than not I don't feel like going out.

My best ever Black Friday deal was in 2010, when I took advantage of ClickinMoms' (photography forum) sale and got Lifetime membership for 40% off. And I didn't even have to leave my house to get it. :)

Here At The Pad, man! Hee hee - thinking about making purchase number 3....

Normally, I avoid Black Friday. Back in the paper/scissors day, I hosted a crop on Black Friday for those wishing to avoid the crazies. This year we are going to Williamsburg, Va (a favorite of ours) for the weekend to shop and eat. Leaving tomorrow morning. So yes, I guess I will be out there with the crazies but I will be on vacation so maybe it won't feel crazy.

I have done both, gotten early and done the long line thing...and cpletely ignored the whole thing, haha! This year, I pretty much have everything done already, so if anything else comes up I will just grab.
I think it is because my kids are older and the grand baby lives somewhere else. Not much Christmas spirit around yet...it was 87 degrees today. Ugh - AC came on.

Even if I could go shopping, I wouldn't. LOL My back pain keeps me away from long lines and extended shopping trips, but even if it didn't, I don't really enjoy crowds and the stress of trying to get something before someone else. I would rather shop online or shop at another time to avoid crowds. Yes, I know, I'll pay more. I guess I'd rather do that . . .

Two years ago, I went to Target on Thanksgiving night to get something for my daughter. It wasn't crowded, and I got some great deals. I only went Black Friday shopping once. It was insanity, and I would never do it again. And that was back when it was still not as bad as it is now. :giggle At the time, I was a broke single mom with a kid who desperately wanted a tv for her room, so I shopped at 5 in the morning on my way to work. As a general rule, I avoid shopping when it is busy because I really don't like people.

How does Black Friday effect store here, are coupons not ok to use. MPM new is not zeriong out for me.

Our daughter wanted to go shopping tonight when Black Friday started at our favorite stores. My husband is such a good guy to take her even though he doesn't enjoy it that much. They talked me into going this year. So I dosed up on the Advil for my back and went.

Walmart was pretty calm for as many people as were there. It was just waiting in line to look at videos and games that took a bit of time. But the way they did it was really good. You waited in line to get into that area of the store and they had it all set up well. Only let so many people in at a time so we could see everything without any trouble. Very orderly and nice. I was impressed. Check out was a breeze. They really had it organized well.

Target was busy and their line for the checkout wound up and down several rows of everyday merchandise. Took us about half an hour to get to the front. But it wasn't too bad as the rows we had to snake thru the store on had items we needed to buy so we just put them all in the basket as we went along. :)

Best buy was pretty crowded. Narrow isles with lots of people. But we found what we needed and the checkout was quick. Then after we got in the car I decided to make sure they had charged us for a little gift card we got. They hadn't. AND they had charged me twice for an ink cartridge I got. So I had to have my husband just pull up to the curb and wait for me while I ran in....well it was more like hobbled in as I had been on my feet a couple hours by that time - not good for my bad back.... and straightened all of that out.

All in all....it wasn't too bad. Just took a lot of time. We were glad to get home. And I was very grateful for the Advil! For once the pain I usually have after something like this wasn't so bad. Blessings. :) To top the evening off I went Black Friday shopping at TLP and another site and am pleased with my new stash! :)
