The Cubs Win, The Cubs Win, Holy Cow the Cubs Win!

I don't follow sports, not my thing....but the excitement all over the internet and with some of my friends was so much fun to hear! I know a lot of people may be tired today but happy. Cubs fans everywhere must be on a high right now :)

It was a great game and I'm so glad I stayed up to watch it!! So happy they won!!

We watched it, and I was cheering for them (mostly because of my FB peeps who were cheering for them... and for the underdog thing). :cheer It was a crazy game that totally stressed me out. It also reminded me why I stopped pitching when I was in 6th grade. The stress. Ugh.

Wonderful win. :)

@Karen and all I thought of you when I heard last night and wondered what kind of party would be happening at the Pad -- seems like there were so many of you. I'm not into baseball but I was pulling for them too. Congratulations Chicago cubs. Wouldn't surprise me if BYOC next month is cub's colors.

I don't follow/watch baseball, but Addison Russell is from Pace, FL (where I live/have always lived) so I did watch a bit here and there because of him, making it big from a small town! LOL

So excited for all my friends who are huge CUBS fans!

Really happy for the Cubs!! DH is a lifelong Cubs fan. He grew up in northwest Indiana used to go to many games before moving here. He's been super excited all day!!

YAY CUBS!! We live just around the corner from their old training fields and stadium here in Mesa. The new facilities are just a few miles away. They really have a nice set up here in our part of town. We drive by it often. I'm so excited they won!

I've actually been to spring training in Mesa before! It was awesome!

School today... but Alex was off anyway tomorrow and Clara's school just canceled classes!! We're skipping the college tour and heading to the parade tomorrow morning! Craziness!!!

Oh cool! I tried to convince my hubby to take the day off work and take the train into Chicago for the parade, but he was a little nervous about how big the crowd is going to be (he's SO small town :giggle) Have a blast and take pictures so I can pretend I was there too!

That would be so fun! Lol!

We didn't attempt downtown. We just walked up to Wrigley to see the start of the parade (just posted my photos on fb). They started an hour late, but everyone was in such a great mood it was all ok. It was really cool to see the players! My son started at Wrigley and then attempted to get downtown for the rally, I'm not entirely sure how that went... I haven't gotten the report yet. It looks crazy down there!!

It was such an awesome game!! I had stayed up late the night before so was already tired - (my alarm goes off @ 5:10AM) ... but it was so worth watching every . single . minute of the 7th game - and of course, I was so keyed up I couldn't get to sleep right away ... the last I looked @ the clock it was 2:10AM ... needless to say it was a short night!! However - I would not have missed it!!

Can't wait until next year!!

My Dad was a die-hard Cubs fan ... and my sister Judy, who just passed away in September was too. Before she passed away she told her son she knew "this was the year" ... I do wish she'd have been here to watch it - but I am pretty sure her and Dad were doing the victory dance in heaven together!
